Direct assessment of the sensitivity drift of SQM sensors installed outdoors

Long-term monitoring of the evolution of the artificial night sky brightness is a key tool for developing science-informed public policies and assessing the efficacy of light pollution mitigation measures. Detecting the underlying artificial brightness trend is a challenging task, since the typical night sky brightness signal shows a large variability with characteristic time scales ranging from seconds to years. Tutkielmassa on tarkasteltu boorin määritysmenetelmiä vesistä, maaperästä, kasveista, lannoitteista ja tuhkista. Tutkielma on jaettu esikäsittelyyn, erotusmenetelmiin ja määritysmenetelmiin. Esikäsittelyssä on huomioitu maaperän, lannoitteiden ja tuhkien kohdalla biosaatavuus ja kokonaismäärä. Kasvien ja vesien kohdalla on tarkasteltu kokonaismäärää. Boorin eristäminen on voitu tehdä uuttaen orgaaniseen faasiin joko diolien avulla tai orgaanisen kationin avulla tetrafluoroboraattina. Boori tislautuu metyyliboraattina metanolin ja rikkihapon seoksessa. Ioninvaihdossa on boori voitu kvantitaviivisesti eristää ioninvaihtohartsilla emäksisissä olosuhteissa. Hyperspektrikuvantaminen fotometrisessä stereossa ja sen hyödyntäminen tietokonegrafiikassa

Tässä tutkielmassa tutkitaan hyperspektrikuvien avulla toteutetun fotometrisen stereon vaikutuksia tietokonegrafiikassa. Tutkimuksessa hyperspektrikuvien ja fotometrisen stereon avulla luotiin malleja, joista edelleen renderöitiin kuvia. Hyperspektrikuvantamisen havaittiin parantavan renderöinnin kuvanlaatua hieman, mutta heikentävän sen suorituskykyä kymmenkertaisesti. Lisäksi tutkittiin mallien luomisen nopeuttamista rinnakkaislaskennan avulla. Tuloksena pintojen muotojen määrittäminen pintojen orientaatioiden avulla saatiin grafiikkasuorittimella yli 13-kertaisesti nopeammaksi. The Euclid Space Telescope will provide deep imaging at optical and near-infrared wavelengths, along with slitless near-infrared spectroscopy, across ~15 000deg2 of the sky. Euclid is expected to detect ~12 billion astronomical sources, facilitating new insights into cosmology, galaxy evolution, and various other topics. In order to optimally exploit the expected very large dataset, appropriate methods and software tools need to be developed. Euclid will be the first space mission to survey most of the extragalactic sky in the 0.95–2.02 µm range, to a 5 σ point-source median depth of 24.4 AB mag. This unique photometric dataset will find wide use beyond Euclid’s core science. In this paper, we present accurate computations of the Euclid YE, JE, and HE passbands used by the Near-Infrared Spectrometer and Photometer (NISP), and the associated photometric system.
