The aim was to study the interchangeability of various devices that measure anterior chamber depth (ACD) and white-to-white (WTW) distance.Eighty right eyes of eighty patients aged 20 to 40 years were included. Their spherical equivalent ranged from -4.25 to +1.00 dioptres. Posttraumatic TNF-alpha signaling may be one of the factors responsible for pain and hyperalgesia in complex regional pain syndromes (CRPS). In order to further specify the role of TNF-alpha we investigated tissue (skin) and serum concentrations in three different patient groups: patients with osteoarthritis and planned surgery, with acute traumatic upper limb bone fracture waiting for surgery, and with CRPS I. The clinical course of peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) is usually aggressive and the prognosis unfavorable. Therefore, there is a need for improvement of treatment options. Patients with newly diagnosed (n = 27) or refractory/relapsed (n = 11) PTCL received a combination of alemtuzumab, fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, and doxorubicin. The overall response rate (ORR) was 61%, with a complete response rate of 39%. Purpose To assess response of locally advanced rectal carcinoma to chemoradiation with regard to mucinous status and local tumor invasion found at pretherapeutic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
