Evidence for two isospin zeroJ PC=2−+ mesons at 1645 and 1875 MeV

Data on\(\bar pp \to \eta \pi ^0 \pi ^0 \pi ^0 \) taken at beam momenta of 1.2 and 1.94 GeV/c reveal evidence for twoI=0JPC=2−+ resonances inηππ. The first, at 1645±14(stat.)±15(syst.) MeV with width 180−21+40±25 MeV, decays toα2(1320)π withL=0. It may be interpreted as the\(q\bar q^1 \)D2 partner ofπ2(1670). A strong signal is also observed just above threshold inf2(1270)η withL=0. It is 11–22 times stronger than is expected for the high mass tail of the 1645 MeV resonance. It can be fitted as a second 2−+ resonance at 1875±20±35 MeV with width 200±25±45 MeV. A third resonance havingJPC=2++ is observed at 2135±20±45 MeV withΛ=250±25±45 MeV, decaying to botha2(1320)π andf2(1270)η withL=1. T…

Localization of the spectra of dual frames multipliers

This paper concerns dual frames multipliers, i.e. operators in Hilbert spaces consisting of analysis, multiplication and synthesis processes, where the analysis and the synthesis are made by two dual frames, respectively. The goal of the paper is to give some results about the localization of the spectra of dual frames multipliers, i.e. to individuate regions of the complex plane containing the spectra using some information about the frames and the symbols.

Weak A-frames and weak A-semi-frames

After reviewing the interplay between frames and lower semi-frames, we introduce the notion of lower semi-frame controlled by a densely defined operator $A$ or, for short, a weak lower $A$-semi-frame and we study its properties. In particular, we compare it with that of lower atomic systems, introduced in (GB). We discuss duality properties and we suggest several possible definitions for weak $A$-upper semi-frames. Concrete examples are presented.

Analysis of infilled frames using A coupled finite element and boundary element solution scheme

The behaviour of infilled frames subjected to horizontal loads is analysed by an iterative numerical procedure. The stiffness of the structural system is determined with variations in geometrical and mechanical characteristics. The analysis is carried out utilizing the boundary element method (BEM) for the infill and opportunely dividing the frame into finite elements, so as to transform the mutual interactions of the two subsystems into stresses distributed along the boundary for the infill and into nodal actions for the frame. Object Recognition and Modeling Using SIFT Features

In this paper we present a technique for object recognition and modelling based on local image features matching. Given a complete set of views of an object the goal of our technique is the recognition of the same object in an image of a cluttered environment containing the object and an estimate of its pose. The method is based on visual modeling of objects from a multi-view representation of the object to recognize. The first step consists of creating object model, selecting a subset of the available views using SIFT descriptors to evaluate image similarity and relevance. Tandem cross enyne metathesis (CEYM)–intramolecular Diels–Alder reaction (IMDAR). An easy entry to linear bicyclic scaffolds

A new tandem cross enyne metathesis (CEYM)–intramolecular Diels–Alder reaction (IMDAR) has been carried out. It involves conjugated ketones, esters or amides bearing a remote olefin and aromatic alkynes as the starting materials. The overall process enables the preparation of a small family of linear bicyclic scaffolds in a very simple manner with moderate to good levels of diastereoselectivity. This methodology constitutes one of the few examples that employ olefins differently than ethylene in tandem CEYM–IMDAR protocols.

In the current (post-) pandemic context and through the lens of a southern European perspective the purpose of this article is to critically reflect about the role of culture as possible vehicle of urban and community regeneration. In particular we will focus on the activities of the no profit organization «Laboratorio Zen Insieme» in ZEN2 one of the last large popular and peripheral neighborhoods built in Palermo at the end of 80s in order to explore and understand how cultural practices work as agent of urban and social transformation capable of addressing emerging issues especially in the pandemic scenario we are experiencing. Thecasestudy has been conducted through analysis of documents participative observations (Honer and Hitzler 2015) and qualitative in-depth interviews with key actors involved in the conception organization and management of the activities carried out by Laboratorio Zen Insieme with representatives of local institutions and non-formal conversations with participants of the workshops heldin the neighborhood. The experience we narrate finds that cultural practices have re-conceptualized their design and functions as strategies of urban and community regeneration and at the same time have contributed to answer to emergent issues in developing proximity and local based strategies facing up to problems inherent civil rights educationalpoverty socio-spatial justice and have changed the image and identity of urban places they inhabit.In this sense the research provides a framework for development of strategies and legitimization for cultural practices and a point of discussionabouttheirrolein urban development.Although all cities in the world have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic its impacts on the territories yet to be understood are unevenly distributed revealing extremely varied imbalances depending on the places.
