Swear words and interjections in the world of Tintin: changes, enlargement and reduction of meaning in Italian translations. Tintin is one of the best known all over the world French language comics. Even in Italy Tintin has been translated and published. Starting from a linguistic analysis on Haddock’s swearwords, one of the best friend of Tintin, we will observe the Italian translations (four editions from 1965 to 2011) of the French album Le crabe aux pinces d’or.

Synsedimentary collapse on a carbonate platform margin (lower Barremian, southern Vercors, SE France)

International audience; A large area of synsedimentary collapse covering about 25 km2 has been identified within Lower Barremian carbonate platform strata of the Southern Vercors (Vocontian Basin, SE France). New observations of the prograding/aggrading strata of the Cirque d'Archiane and the Glandasse Plateau reveal the presence of a disturbed zone, showing tilted and imbricated blocks as well as slump features. Measurements and analysis on these synsedimentary distorted strata suggest that they compose a slide which slipped on the Barremian slope. The access and success in the different higher education tracks in France for female and male youths of North African backgrounds

International audience; Despite their preference for selective vocational programmes, many youths of North African backgrounds, including female youths, are diverted toward academic university programmes. To what extent do successful or unsuccessful applications to a chosen programme determine higher education outcomes and transition to work, particularly for female North African youths? Our results show that unemployment is higher for drop-outs for both North African men and women compared to their French counterparts.
