States of $ \rho$ B* $ \bar{{B}}^{{*}}_{}$ with J = 3 within the fixed center approximation to Faddeev equations
2015
We study the interaction of the a $\rho$ and $D^*$, $\bar D^*$ with spins aligned using the Fixed Center Approximation to the Faddeev equations. We select a cluster of $D^* \bar D^*$, which is found to be bound in $I=0$ and can be associated to the X(3915), and let the $\rho$ meson orbit around the $D^*$ and $\bar D^*$. In this case we find an $I=1$ state with mass around 4340 MeV and narrow width of about 50 MeV. We also investigate the case with a cluster of $\rho D^*$ and let the $\bar D^*$ orbit around the system of the two states. The $\rho D^*$ cluster is also found to bind and leads to the $D^*_2(2460)$ state. The addition of the extra $\bar D^*$ produces further binding and we find,…

Measurement of resonant andCPcomponents inB¯s0→J/ψπ+π−decays
2014
Structure of the decay Bs0→J/ψπ+π- is studied using data corresponding to 3fb-1 of integrated luminosity from pp collisions produced by the LHC and collected by the LHCb detector. Five interfering π+π- states are required to describe the decay: f0(980),f0(1500),f0(1790),f2(1270), and f2′(1525). An alternative model including these states and a nonresonant J/ψπ+π- component also provides a good description of the data. Based on the different transversity components measured for the spin-2 intermediate states, the final state is found to be compatible with being entirely CP odd. The CP-even part is found to be <2.3% at a 95% confidence level. The f0(500) state is not observed, allowing a limi…
A combined search for the standard model Higgs boson at s=1.96 TeV
2008
AbstractWe present new results of the search for WH→ℓνbb¯ production in pp¯ collisions at a center-of-mass energy of s=1.96 TeV, based on a dataset with integrated luminosity of 0.44 fb−1. We combine these new results with previously published searches by the D0 collaboration, for WH and ZH production analyzed in the E̸Tbb¯ final state, for ZH (→ℓ+ℓ−bb¯) production, for WH (→WWW) production, and for H (→WW) direct production. No signal-like excess is observed either in the WH analysis or in the combination of all D0 Higgs boson analyses. We set 95% C.L. (expected) upper limits on σ(pp¯→WH)×B(H→bb¯) ranging from 1.6 (2.2) pb to 1.9 (3.3) pb for Higgs boson masses between 105 and 145 GeV, to …
Predictions for η→ηπ+π− producing f0(500), f0(980) and a0(980)
2017
Abstract We perform calculations for the η c → η π + π − decay using elements of SU(3) symmetry to see the weight of different trios of pseudoscalars produced in this decay, prior to the final state interaction of the mesons. After that, the interaction of pairs of mesons, leading finally to η π + π − , is done using the chiral unitary approach. We evaluate the π + π − and πη mass distributions and find large and clear signals for f 0 ( 500 ) , f 0 ( 980 ) and a 0 ( 980 ) excitation. The reaction is similar to the χ c 1 → η π + π − , which has been recently measured at BESIII and its implementation and comparison with these predictions will be very valuable to shed light on the nature of th…
Prediction of a $Z_c(4000)$ $D^* \bar D^*$ state and relationship to the claimed $Z_c(4025)$
2014
After discussing the OZI suppression of one light meson exchange in the interaction of $D^* \bar D^*$ with isospin I=1, we study the contribution of two pion exchange to the interaction and the exchange of a heavy vector $J/\psi$. We find this latter mechanism weak but enough to barely bind the system in J=2 with a mass around 4000 MeV, while the effect of the two pion exchange is a net attraction but weaker than that from $J/\psi$ exchange. We discuss this state and try to relate it to the $Z_c(4025)$ state, above the $D^* \bar D^*$ threshold, claimed in an experiment at BES from and enhancement of the $D^* \bar D^*$ distribution close to threshold. Together with the results from a recent …
IS THE MESON SPECTRUM LIMITED?
2011
A precise description of the high excited meson spectra is obtained from the solution of the spinless Salpeter equation for a static radial potential. The coulombic asymptotic behavior of such potential suggests that the meson spectra are limited so that no single [Formula: see text] states may exist beyond a limiting mass.
Unitary chiral dynamics in J/Psi decays into VPP and the role of the scalar mesons
2004
We make a theoretical study of the $\J$ decays into $\omega\pi\pi$, $\phi\pi\pi$, $\omega K \bar{K}$ and $\phi K\bar{K}$ using the techniques of the chiral unitary approach stressing the important role of the scalar resonances dynamically generated through the final state interaction of the two pseudoscalar mesons. We also discuss the importance of new mechanisms with intermediate exchange of vector and axial-vector mesons and the role played by the OZI rule in the $\J\phi\pi\pi$ vertex, quantifying its effects. The results nicely reproduce the experimental data for the invariant mass distributions in all the channels considered.
Inclusive (e, e′ N), (e, e′ NN), (e, e′ π), …v reactions in nuclei
1997
We study the inclusive $(e,e^\prime N)$, $(e,e^\prime NN)$, $(e,e^\prime \pi)$, $(e,e^\prime \pi N)$ reactions in nuclei using a Monte Carlo simulation method to treat the multichannel problem of the final state. The input consists of reaction probabilities for the different steps evaluated using microscopical many body methods. We obtain a good agreement with experiment in some channels where there is data and make predictions for other channels which are presently under investigation in several electron laboratories. The comparison of the theoretical results with experiment for several kinematical conditions and diverse channels can serve to learn about different physical processes ocurri…
Initial State Radiation Measurements at BESIII
2019
Precision measurements of the hadronic cross sections e+ e−→ π+ π− , π+π−π0, π+π−2π0, ωπ0 and π+π−3π0 are performed at the BESIII experiment located in Beijing, China. These cross section measurements are needed as input for the Standard Model prediction of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, (g − 2)µ.The initial state radiation method is used to access the energy regions of interest for (g − 2)µ. Our results will improve the precision of the Standard Model prediction of (g − 2)µ .
