The Born–Oppenheimer equilibrium bond distance of GeO from millimetre- and submillimetre-wave spectra and quantum-chemical calculations

The millimetre- and submillimetre-wave spectra of the five common isotopologues of (GeO)-O-16 in their electronic and vibrational ground state have been recorded in the spectral region 115-732GHz; for (GeO)-Ge-74-O-16, the rotational spectrum in the v = 1 state has been detected as well. Exploiting the high precision of the measurements, the Born-Oppenheimer breakdown parameter Delta(Ge)(01) could be determined from a Dunham analysis of the spectral data, whereas Delta(O)(01) was obtained from quantum-chemical calculations, because of the lack of high-precision measurements for the (GeO)-O-18 isotopologues. An implicit mesh discontinuous Galerkin formulation for higher-order plate theories

In this work, a discontinuous Galerkin formulation for higher-order plate theories is presented. The starting point of the formulation is the strong form of the governing equations, which are derived in the context of the Generalized Unified Formulation and the Equivalent Single Layer approach from the Principle of Virtual Displacements. To express the problem within the discontinuous Galerkin framework, an auxiliary flux variable is introduced and the governing equations are rewritten as a system of first-order partial differential equations, which are weakly stated over each mesh element. Oman äidinkielen opetusta on järjestetty Suomessa jo yli neljäkymmentä vuotta, mutta ei ole paljon tietoa siitä, mitä luokkahuoneiden sisällä tapahtuu. Tässä artikkelissa tarkastellaan, miten espanjaa ja portugalia opetetaan pääkaupunkiseudulla ja mitä mieltä oppilaat ja vanhemmat ovat siitä. Vaikka kyseessä on tapaustutkimus kahdesta kielestä, tuloksista voitaneen tehdä se johtopäätös, että opetuskäytänteet vaihtelevat suuresti opettajasta riippuen. Yhteistä on se, että opetus ei ole kovin suunnitelmallista, joskin joka tunnilla pyritään kehittämään monin tavoin kielitaidon eri osa-alueita ja välittämään kulttuuritietoa. Tämä artikkeli pohjautuu väitöstyöhön, jossa tarkastelin espanjan ja portugalin oman äidinkielen opetuksen nykytilaa Helsingin seudulla. Perusopetuslain 12 §:n nykyisen tulkinnan mukaan oman äidinkielen opetus on vain täydentävää opetusta, josta annetaan suositus perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelman perusteiden (2014) liitteessä. Kunnat eivät siis ole velvoitettuja järjestämään sitä, mutta voivat halutessaan anoa valtionavustusta, jonka turvin opetusta annetaan noin 50 eri kielessä. Keskityn tässä vain yhteen kysymykseen, joka koskee kaikkia kieliä: kuntien toimintaan opetuksen järjestäjinä. Tutkimustulosten perusteella tämä toiminta on hyvin kirjavaa.
