Comparison of the mycelial growth of some Phellinus spp. isolates on different agar media

2017

Zastosowano pożywki: ziemniaczano-glukozową (PDA), maltozową (MEA), pszenną (WA) i trocinowo-pszenną (SWA). Po 10 dniach inkubacji w 25°C zmierzono średnice kolonii. Artykuł prezentuje dane dotyczące wzrostu grzybni (G) i krótkie opisy koloni na MEA. Wszystkie izolaty wykazały mały wzrost na MEA i duży wzrost na WA, SWA i PDA. Wzrost grzybni wszystkich izolatów na poszczególnych pożywkach wyniósł odpowiednio: MEA…

The role of the agreement as a tool for management of property relations in cases of cross border marriages and civil unions/partnerships registered …

2021

The essay examines the role of the agreement as a tool for managing property relationships in crossborder marriages and registered partnerships, in light of EU Regulations 1103 and 1104 of 2016, on the property regimes of international married or registered couples. The main prerogative of such acts is the recognition of the parties? freedom to choose the court and the applicable law. The law governing the matrimonial property regimes, or the property consequences of registered partnerships, has universal scope. This agreement in the form envisaged, which is backed by the need for legal certainty and predictability of the applicable rules, means that the spouses, in family problems which ha…

Exceptional women: Female merchants and working women in Italy in the early modern period

2018

The chapter examines the juridical construction of working woman in Italian cities during the medieval to modern period. In fact, the world of work and production had been generally thought by medieval and early modern jurists to be a sphere best left to self-regulation by the interested parties, an autonomous field, if not quite extraneous to the grand systems of Roman and canon law. But many regulatory and legal sources demonstrate the relevance of merchant and working women in the economic system. This sources concern three items, regarding female work and family roles: female membership and activities in the Italian guilds; women’s property and capability to act; the relationship betwee…

Plant essential oils in controlling fungal colonization on wooden substrate

2021

In order to control fungal colonization and the related deterioration process of cultural objects, several chemical compounds are actually utilised. These products generally are toxic, not biodegradable and persisting for long time in the environment, also acting on not-targeted biological systems. In this study, specifically to wooden cultural object, Origanum vulgare L. and Thymus vulgaris L. essential oils are proposed as green biocides to contrast the development of Penicillium chrysogenum, Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus niger fungal species. The aim is replacing toxic products with natural molecules, proposing alternative methodologies supporting the using of non-toxic novel compou…

Wyodrębnione jednostki organizacyjne kościoła katolickiego. Stan de lege lata i postulaty de lege ferenda

2021

"Demokracja jacksonowska" a zmiana postawy legitymizacji władzy sądowniczej w USA

2021

The article discusses the issue of changes of the bases of legitimization for the state judiciary in the US during the so-called “Jacksonian Democracy”, i.e., the period from 1829 (the beginning of the presidency of Andrew Jackson) until the outbreak of the Civil War. During this period on the wave of the democratization process of public institutions in the US, popular elections were introduced to select judges at the state level. The reason for the introduced institution was the willingness of legal environments to make judges independent from the world of politics, as well as strengthening their social authority and a political position in a political system. The result of popular electi…

The XENON1T Dark Matter Experiment

2017

The XENON1T experiment at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (LNGS) is the first WIMP dark matter detector operating with a liquid xenon target mass above the ton-scale. Out of its 3.2 t liquid xenon inventory, 2.0 t constitute the active target of the dual-phase time projection chamber. The scintillation and ionization signals from particle interactions are detected with low-background photomultipliers. This article describes the XENON1T instrument and its subsystems as well as strategies to achieve an unprecedented low background level. First results on the detector response and the performance of the subsystems are also presented. © 2017, The Author(s).

Search for inelastic scattering of WIMP dark matter in XENON1T

2021

We report the results of a search for the inelastic scattering of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) in the XENON1T dark matter experiment. Scattering off $^{129}$Xe is the most sensitive probe of inelastic WIMP interactions, with a signature of a 39.6 keV de-excitation photon detected simultaneously with the nuclear recoil. Using an exposure of 0.89 tonne-years, we find no evidence of inelastic WIMP scattering with a significance of more than 2$\sigma$. A profile-likelihood ratio analysis is used to set upper limits on the cross-section of WIMP-nucleus interactions. We exclude new parameter space for WIMPs heavier than 100 GeV/c${}^2$, with the strongest upper limit of $3.3 \time…

Search for Light Dark Matter Interactions Enhanced by the Migdal Effect or Bremsstrahlung in XENON1T.

2019

Direct dark matter detection experiments based on a liquid xenon target are leading the search for dark matter particles with masses above ∼5 GeV/c2, but have limited sensitivity to lighter masses because of the small momentum transfer in dark matter-nucleus elastic scattering. However, there is an irreducible contribution from inelastic processes accompanying the elastic scattering, which leads to the excitation and ionization of the recoiling atom (the Migdal effect) or the emission of a bremsstrahlung photon. In this Letter, we report on a probe of low-mass dark matter with masses down to about 85 MeV/c2 by looking for electronic recoils induced by the Migdal effect and bremsstrahlung us…
