Estudio del mecanismo de reacción e inhibición de cisteína proteasas mediante métodos multiescala

En esta tesis doctoral se realizaron estudios computacionales para las enzimas caspasa-1 y la 3CLpro del SARS-CoV-2. Estas enzimas pertenecen a la familia de las cisteína proteasas, las cuales hidrolizan sus respectivos sustratos rompiendo un enlace peptídico en particular. En esta reacción interviene una diada catalítica conformada por un par Cis-His. La caspasa-1 fue seleccionada debido a su importancia farmacológica en la enfermedad de Alzheimer, y la enzima 3CLpro del SARS-CoV-2 por estar involucrada en el proceso de replicación del virus responsable de la enfermedad del COVID-19. Microbial mutualistic symbiosis is increasingly recognised as a hidden driving force in the ecology of plant–insect interactions. Although plant‐associated and herbivore‐associated symbionts clearly affect interactions between plants and herbivores, the effects of symbionts associated with higher trophic levels has been largely overlooked. At the third‐trophic level, parasitic wasps are a common group of insects that can inject symbiotic viruses (polydnaviruses) and venom into their herbivorous hosts to support parasitoid offspring development. In the case of professional sport, athletes who retire because of a career-ending injury may have to deal with the unexpected double impact of losing their career and income and recovering from a serious injury, thus potentially making this exit from sport particularly problematic. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kuri seksuālās minoritāšu identitātes aspekti ir saistīti psiholoģisko distresu un uztverto sociālo atbalstu lesbietēm, gejiem un biseksuāliem cilvēkiem. Pētījumā piedalījās 126 dalībnieki, vecumā 18 - 52 gadi. Dalībnieki tika iedalīti trīs pētījuma grupās: lesbietes (n=49); geji (n=41); biseksuāli cilvēki (n=36). Pētījumā tika izmantota Lesbiešu, geju un biseksuālu cilvēku identitātes aptauja, Keslera psiholoģiskā distresa aptauja un Daudzdimensionālā uztvertā sociālā atbalsta aptauja. The significance in Finland of shipping on inland waterways has been great. This is due to the topography of the country with its many lakes and to the fact that the vast waterways in their natural state were easily navigable. The construction of canals resulted in even more extensive interconnected inland waterways. This study explores the tasks of the steamships plying these internal waterways, their numbers and significance, and also changes and the reasons for these between different inland waterways, as regards different types of vessels and shipowners in the period from the 1870s to the 1960s. L'analisi delle tensioni residue nel vetro viene solitamente effettuata mediante metodi fotoelastici. Questo lavoro considera l'automazione del metodo fotoelastico in luce bianca basato sull'uso congiunto della fotoelasticità RGB e di una lastra a tinta sensibile (full wave plate o tint plate), che manifesta il ritardo di un ordine di frangia, posta in serie alla lastra di vetro. Il metodo proposto è stato applicato all’analisi delle tensioni residue membranali in un vetro temperato.
