An experimental study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of two bio-additives as rejuvenators on the properties of asphalt mixtures containing 50% RAP and their binder constituents containing 37% RAP binder. Before mixing, the rejuvenators were blended with fresh bitumen and the extracted and recovered RAP bitumen, and changes in the rheological properties of the binders were assessed using performance grading (PG) criteria. The results showed that both rejuvenators could improve the low-temperature performance of the aged RAP binder and restore its low-temperature properties. Central giant cell granuloma ( CGCG ), is a fibro-osseous lesion. The majority of lesions are observed in the mandible and mainly in children and young adults, more often in females than in males. Burial dissolution of micrite in Middle East carbonate reservoirs (Jurassic–Cretaceous): keys for recognition and timing.

Three microporous reservoirs were selected: the Cenomanian Mishrif Formation in Iraq; the Kimmeridgian–Tithonian Arab D and the Barremian Kharaib Formations, both in Abu Dhabi. The influence of natural trace element distribution on the mobility of radionuclides. The exemple of nickel in a clay-rock

International audience; The natural distribution of nickel (Ni) in the Callovian–Oxfordian clay-rich rock of Bure (France) was investigated, together with that of cobalt (Co), zinc (Zn) and lead (Pb). The most Ni-enriched phases are pyrite (∼400 × 10−6 g g−1 Ni), sphalerite (∼300 × 10−6 g g−1), chlorite (∼285 × 10−6 g g−1), organic matter (∼300 × 10−6 g g−1), muscovite (100–200 × 10−6 g g−1) and possibly carbonate minerals (mainly calcite and minor dolomite, ∼10 × 10−6 g g−1). Despite their high abundance (up to ∼80% in the upper part of the formation), carbonate minerals are quantitatively a minor Ni reservoir; most of the Ni is borne by chlorite and pyrite, which are minor mineral phases.…

International audience; We investigated the distribution of Zr, Hf, and rare earth elements (REE) as the sum of lanthanides plus Y in the hydrothermal system in the Lake Van area of south-eastern Turkey. This system is characterised by water with variable pH in alkaline conditions resulting from hydrothermal CO2 upraise and neoformation of calcite minerals in near equilibrium with the interacting waters. Here, we present a detailed study of microstructure-specific carbon isotopic composition of organic matter (OM) preserved in Dresser Formation bedded cherts and hydrothermal chert vein using in situ Secondary-Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS). Nuclear receptors modulate the interaction of Sp1 and GC-rich DNA via ternary complex formation

Binding sites for transcription factor Sp1have been implicated in the transcriptional regulation of several genes by hormones or vitamins, and here we show that a GC-rich element contributes to the retinoic acid response of the interleukin 1β promoter. To explain such observations, it has been proposed that nuclear receptors can interact with Sp1 bound to GC-rich DNA. However, evidence supporting this model has remained indirect.
