17 pages; International audience; We studied a potential petroleum source rock deposited in a clastic-dominated ramp environment: the Argiles de Châtillon Formation (Kimmeridgian-Tithonian, Boulonnais area, northern France). The formation was deposited along a proximal-distal gradient on this ramp affected by synsedimentary fault movements. A sedimentological, mineralogical and geochemical study was conducted to decipher the distribution patterns of sedimentary parameters along such a depth increase over the ramp. It comes out that smectite distribution unexpectedly mimics the lateral depth evolution despite the good floatability of the mineral. It is also observed that the Argiles de Châti…
Kininogen binding protein p33/gC1qR is localized in the vesicular fraction of endothelial cells
1996
AbstractThe endothelial protein p33/gC1qR is thought to mediate the assembly of components of the kinin-forming and complement-activating pathways on the surface of cardiovascular cells. FACS analysis of intact human umbilical vein endothelial cells using specific antibodies to p33 revealed a minor fluorescence on the cell surface whereas permeabilized cells showed a bright fluorescence indicative of an intracellular localization of p33. Immunostaining of fixed cells confirmed the predominant intracellular localization of p33. Fractionation studies demonstrated that the vesicular but not the membrane fraction of EA.hy926 cells is rich in p33. We conclude that externalization of p33 must pre…

Some extensions in space-time LGCP: application to earthquake data
2017
In this paper we aim at studying some extensions of complex space-time models, useful for the description of earthquake data. In particular we want to focus on the Log-Gaussian Cox Process (LGCP, [1]) model estimation approach, with some results on global informal diagnostics. Indeed, in our opinion the use of Cox processes that are natural models for point process phenomena that are environmentally driven could be a new approach for the description of seismic events. These models can be useful in estimating the intensity surface of a spatio-temporal point process, in constructing spatially continuous maps of earthquake risk from spatially discrete data, and in real-time seismic activity su…

A genetic link between synsedimentary tectonics-expelled fluids, microbial sulfate reduction and cone-in-cone structures
2018
14 pages; International audience; The late Jurassic (Tithonian) marlstones of the Boulonnais area (English Channel, France) contains diagenetic carbonate beds and nodules. Some nodules exhibit cone-in-cone structures on their lower face. We studied such nodules using various techniques of imaging and chemical (major and trace-elements) and isotopic analyses (Ccarb, Corg, O and S stable isotopes). We interpret the cone-in-cone to be the end product of carbonate-nodule formation during early diagenesis. The diagenetic carbonate precipitation was induced by microbial activity (bacteria and(?) archeae) fueled by upward-migrating fluids. Fluid expulsion was itself triggered by synsedimentary fau…
