Comparison of essential oil components and in vitro anticancer activity in wild and cultivated Salvia verbenaca.

The objectives of our research were to study the chemical composition and the in vitro anticancer effect of the essential oil of Salvia verbenaca growing in natural sites in comparison with those of cultivated (Sc) plants. The oil from wild (Sw) S. verbenaca presented hexadecanoic acid (23.1%) as the main constituent, while the oil from Sc plants contained high quantities of hexahydrofarnesyl acetone (9.7%), scarce in the natural oil (0.7%). International audience; This paper presents a method based on shape-context and statistical measures to match interventional 2D Trans Rectal Ultrasound (TRUS) slice during prostate biopsy to a 2D Magnetic Resonance (MR) slice of a pre-acquired prostate volume. Accurate biopsy tissue sampling requires translation of the MR slice information on the TRUS guided biopsy slice. However, this translation or fusion requires the knowledge of the spatial position of the TRUS slice and this is only possible with the use of an electro-magnetic (EM) tracker attached to the TRUS probe. Depresijas simptomu novērtējums klīniskā un neklīniskā izlasē

Šī pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādi ir depresijas simptomu profili mērījumos starp klīnisko un neklīnisko (vispārējo) izlasi. Pētījuma galvenais jautājums bija, kādi būs indivīdiem novērojami depresijas simptomu profili jeb kāda būs depresijas simptomu heterogenitāte? Pētījumā piedalījās 292 respondenti. Pētījuma dalībnieki bija vecumā no 14 līdz 53 gadiem (M = 34,27; SD = 11,12; sievietes 75,3%; vīrieši 24,7%). Pētījuma ietvaros tika izveidotas divas izlases – neklīniskā jeb vispārējā izlase un klīniskā izlase. Vispārējo izlasi veidoja 262 respondenti, savukārt klīnisko izlasi veidoja 30 respondenti. La deficienza dell'enzima 21 idrossilasi (21OHD) è la causa più comune di sindrome adrenogenitale (SAG). Il gene implicato è il CYP21 (6p21.3). La SAG è un problema clinico-sociale in quanto nel 95% dei casi genera l'iperandrogenismo dei neonati di sesso femminile. Il trattamento più effettuato in corso di virilizzazzione dei genitali femminili esterni è di tipo chirurgico (genitoplastica). Il trattamento prenatale in utero è una alternativa medica con il fine di compensare il difetto enzimatico e prevenire l'eccesso di androgeni in corso di morfogenesi fetale.
