Each of the pixels of the retina is composed of a photodiode and an electronic device used during the programming phase to digitize the image of the pattern to recognize into a binary image stored in latches. Stability and Noises Evaluation of Fuzzy Kalman UAV Navigation System.

In this paper a new Fuzzy/Kalman navigation system for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) is presented. A closed loop velocity Fuzzy navigation system is proposed for stabilizing the UAV in a reference trajectory generated dynamically and for obtaining a forward velocity command. The Kalman's filter (KF) is included in the feedback line of the fuzzy control system to filter the internal noise of the sensors and to evaluate the external noise due to possible perturbations of the nominal motion. The efficiency of the navigation system has been shown through experimental tests in a Matlab environment.
On Detection of Yaw and Roll Angle Information for Vehicle Oblique Crash using Hough Transform

When performing vehicle crash tests, it is common to capture high frame rate video (HFR) to observe the vehicle motion during the impact. Such videos contain a lot of information, especially when it comes to geometric data. The yaw and roll angles from the HFR video is detected by using the Hough Transform and Matlab's Image processing Toolbox. The measured Yaw angle from the HFR video are compared with real life test data captured with a gyroscopic device inside the vehicle during the oblique vehicle impact.
Detection of surfaces for projection of texture

Augmented reality is used to improve color segmentation on human's body or on precious no touch artefacts. We propose a technique based on structured light to project texture on a real object without any contact with it. Such techniques can be apply on medical application, archeology, industrial inspection and augmented prototyping. Coded structured light is an optical technique based on active stereovision which allows shape acquisition. By projecting a light pattern onto the surface of an object and capturing images with a camera, a large number of correspondences can be found and 3D points can be reconstructed by means of triangulation.

This paper is an extension of our previous work on the image segmentation of electronic structures on patterned wafers to improve the defect detection process on optical inspection tools. Die-to-die wafer inspection is based upon the comparison of the same area on two neighborhood dies. The dissimilarities between the images are a result of defects in this area of one of the die. The noise level can vary from one structure to the other, within the same image. Therefore, segmentation is needed to create a mask and apply an optimal threshold in each region. Range image binarization: applications to wooden stamps analysis

This paper deals with the analysis of ancient wooden stamps. The aim is to extract a binary image from the stamp. This image must be the closer to the image produced by inking and using a printing press with the stamps. A range image based method is proposed to extract a stamped image from the stamps. The range image acquisition from a 3D laser scanner is presented. Pre-filtering for range image enhancement is detailed. The range image binarization method is based on an adaptive thresholding. Autonomous patrol and surveillance system using unmanned aerial vehicles

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are increasingly popular for civil applications due to their flight capabilities and mobility. This paper proposes an indoor autonomous patrol and surveillance system using unmanned aerial vehicles. The system consists of six components: (1) a low cost vision-based pose estimation of UAVs, (2) vision-based state estimation, (3) UAV patrol path planning, (4) UAV controller to desired waypoints, (5) manual joystick controller and (6) assignment of priority hierarchy to multiple control inputs of a robot.
