L’imperatore Anastasio tra storiografia ed agiografia
2004
La rappresentazione dell’imperatore Anastasio è analizzata nei diversi filoni della tradizione storiografica, agiografica e letteraria, nei suoi molteplici aspetti, dal motivo dell’attesa soteriologica nel momento dell’ascesa al potere (De cerimoniis di Costantino Porfirogenito, Panegirici di Procopio di Gaza e Prisciano di Cesarea, Vita di S. Mitochondrial sequence analysis of Salamandra taxa suggests old splits of major lineages and postglacial recolonizations of Central Europe from disti…
2000
Representatives of the genus Salamandra occur in Europe, Northern Africa and the Near East. Many local variants are known but species and subspecies status of these is still a matter of dispute. We have analysed samples from locations covering the whole expansion range of Salamandra by sequence analysis of mitochondrial D-loop regions. In addition, we have calibrated the rate of divergence of the D-loop on the basis of geologically dated splits of the closely related genus Euproctus. Phylogenetic analysis of the sequences suggests that six major monophyletic groups exist (S. salamandra, S. algira, S. infraimmaculata, S. corsica, S. atra and S. lanzai) which have split between 5 and 13 milli…

Women’s teaching in the Roman Hispania: Guess unfounded
2015
In Mérida remains a nice funerary stela dedicated to a young girl. For many years the interpretation was that it means a dedication of a teacher to her disciple and therefore a unique example of women teaching in Hispania was imposed. Although this view is still ruled today remains in various studies that false belief. The reality is that there is no evidence that women, except of certain situations associated with the formation of the slaves, developed an educational activity in Rome. This circumstance remained with the triumph of Christianity. Hispania was no exception in the Roman world.
