SPIRAL2 (Systeme de Production d’Ions Radioactifs Acceleres en Ligne) is a research facility under construction at GANIL (Grand Accelerateur National d’Ions Lourds) for the production of radioactive ion beams by isotope separation on-line methods and low-energy in-flight techniques. A resonant ionization laser ion source will be one of the main techniques to produce the radioactive ion beams.
