Ski jumping takeoff in a wind tunnel with skis.

The effect of skis on the force–time characteristics of the simulated ski jumping takeoff was examined in a wind tunnel. Takeoff forces were recorded with a force plate installed under the tunnel floor. Signals from the front and rear parts of the force plate were collected separately to examine the anteroposterior balance of the jumpers during the takeoff. Two ski jumpers performed simulated takeoffs, first without skis in nonwind conditions and in various wind conditions. Thereafter, the same experiments were repeated with skis. In this paper we demonstrate a facile and efficient synthesis of monoalkenylsubstituted POSS compounds, i.e., R7(Si8O12)-alkenyl and R7(Si8O12)(OSiMe2)-alkenyl with a functional alkenyl group of chain length (from vinyl to dec-9-enyl, with or without additional –OSiMe2– spacer between the silsesquioxane core and alkenyl moiety) and with five types of inert groups (Et, iBu, iOc, Cy, Ph) at the POSS core. These compounds constitute a library of monosubstituted POSS systems, including thorough spectroscopic and thermal characteristics. Testa izvēle ir atkarīga no testēšanas mērķa, tomēr nav viennozīmīgu kritēriju, kas ļautu izvēlēties labāko testu fizisko darbaspēju novērtēšanai. Savukārt, visbiežāk izmantojamie parametri fiziskās sagatavotības novērtēšanai funkcionālo testu laikā ir sirdsdarbības frekvence un skābekļa patēriņš. Darba mērķis bija salīdzinoši izvērtēt skābekļa patēriņa un sirdsdarbības frekvences izmaiņu dinamiku vienādas jaudas slodzē, slodzi veicot uz veloergometra un slīdceliņa. Jyväskylän yliopisto.Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää kahden uuden submaksimaalisenpolkupyöräergometritestin (FitWare) sekä WHO: n testin luotettavuus vertaamallasubmaksimaalisilla testeillä ennustettuja maksimihapenkulutuksen arvoja mitattuihinarvoihin. FitWaren testimalleissa kuormaportaiden kestot olivat kaksi minuuttia jaminuutti.
