Characterization of micromixing in a Continuous Oscillatory Baffled Reactor

International audience; Micromixing is the limiting step in the progress of fast reactions and fast crystallization processes. Micromixing performance of a Nitech© glass COBR has been characterized using the competing parallel iodide-iodate test reactions. Macromixing length was also qualitatively determined by visualization of a tracer. The results show that an increase in the amplitude to baffle space ratio and a decrease of oscillation frequency improves mixing performance.

Psychological consequences of fixed-term employment and perceived job insecurity among health care staff

The present study sought to clarify the roles of fixed-term employment and perceived job insecurity in relation to an employee's job attitudes (job satisfaction, turnover intentions) and well-being (work engagement, job exhaustion). Specifically, we examined which of the two situations, high subjective job insecurity and a permanent job (i.e., violation hypothesis) or high subjective job insecurity and a fixed-term job (i.e., intensification hypothesis), would lead to the most negative job attitudes and well-being. Recruitment, knowledge integration and modes of innovation

Abstract This paper investigates how the strength and intrinsic characteristics of firms’ knowledge bases and processing routines have evolved with the past inflow of employees. The empirical analysis is based on linked public register and innovation survey data for Norway. It finds that recruitment from universities, research institutes and higher education institutions has increased the capacity of firms to generate technical inventions.
