Background. Parameters influencing failure and recanalization rates of endovenous laser treatment (ELT) of the great saphenous vein (GSV) are still to be determined. Objective. To evaluate treatment-related parameters of ELT with respect to early failure of occlusion or recanalization of GSVs. Methods. Width manipulation is thought to influence sagittal plane stimuli to the hip and knee extensors, the primary extensor musculature in the squat. The dark side of romantic relationships: Aggression in adolescent couples and links to attachment

This dyadic approach was chosen to account for the fact that both partners may differently contribute to the escalation of aggression. In a sample of 194 romantic partner dyads, differences between female and male partners׳ reports of aggression (relational and physical) and measures of attachment security and jealousy were assessed. Intraoperative Evaluation of the Reconstruction of the Atrioventricular Valves by Means of Transesophageal Echocardiography

In 44 operations, the mitral valve was reconstructed in 28 patients, the tricuspid valve in 12, and both atrioventricular (AV) valves in four. The results of reconstruction were tested first in the open arrested heart by injection of a crystalloid solution into the left or right ventricle, either through the reconstructed valve or via one of the great arteries. We studied the relationship between temperature and the coexistence of great tit Parus major and blue tit Cyanistes caeruleus, breeding in 75 study plots across Europe and North Africa. We expected an advance in laying date and a reduction in clutch size during warmer springs as a general response to climate warming and a delay in laying date and a reduction in clutch size during warmer winters due to density-dependent effects. As expected, as spring temperature increases laying date advances and as winter temperature increases clutch size is reduced in both species.
