The Monte San Nicola area (Southern Sicily) offers a spectacular exposure of open-marine sediments that were employed in 1998 for defining the Global Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) of the Gelasian Stage (Upper Pliocene). After the lowering of the Pliocene/Pleistocene boundary to ca. 2.6 Ma in 2010, the Gelasian GSSP has been redefined as the base of both the Pleistocene Series and the Quaternary Period, which increased its importance and visibility within the scientific community. However, documentation on the Monte San Nicola reference section is still sparse. 20 pages; International audience; The Thuoux section, located in South-Eastern Basin of France (coordinates: 44°30'55"E; 5°42'25"N), is a section that satisfies numerous demanding criteria as reference section (GSSP) for the base of the Oxfordian stage. Sedimentation was continuous in that the abundant ammonitic fauna yields no detectable hiatuses. The stratigraphic boundary is located between the Lamberti Zone and the Mariae Zone or more precisely between the Paucicostatum horizon (MARCHAND, 1979) and the Thuouxensis horizon (FORTWENGLER & MARCHAND, 1994a). Tutkielman tarkoituksena oli tutkia kuuden finlandismin ja kolmen verbin suomenruotsalaisien taivutusmuotojen yleisyyttä suomenruotsalaisissa lehdissä. Tutkimuksen materiaali on koostettu vuosilta 2012 ja 2013 kolmesta lehdestä: Hufvudstadsbladet, Vasabladet ja Åbo Underrättelser. Vertailin näiden lehtien tuloksia keskenään nähdäkseni, onko finlandismien käyttöasteessa eroja lehtien kesken. Tulokset osoittivat, että valitsemillani finlandismeilla on melko vähän esiintymiä kyseisissä lehdissä.
