In light of the ends. Copyright hysteresis and private copy exception after the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) and oth…

2015

In British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) and others v Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, the High Court of Justice in matter of private copy exception provides the twofold prime opportunity to shed light on the state of the art of copyright in the UK and to flesh out the idea of 'legal hysteresis’. I support the reintroduction of the private copy exception, possibly in a less narrow fashion, and I explain the reasons why I am confident that my expectations will be fulfilled.

L’INFLUENZA DELLA MORFOLOGIA SULLA DISTRIBUZIONE DELLE PIOGGE INTENSE

2012

Place Identity e marcatezza diatopica nella canzone dialettale siciliana

2015

Pot…

Paradigms in the compositional practice of Irish singer-songwriters

2016

The singer-songwriter has emerged as a significant figure in contemporary Irish culture. Ireland’s monumental history in musical practice has cultivated some of the most internationally respected singersongwriters of recent decades. While much research has been devoted to the songs of Irish artists at large, little attention has been allocated to demystifying their songwriting praxis. The present work critically examines the relationship between the Irish singer-songwriter and wider mediated discourses surrounding their artistry. Independent of genre it interrogates the compositional practices of performing songwriters by way of phenomenological study. Specifically, the lived experience of …
