Evaluación del grado de queratinización y el recuento de AgNORs en citología exfoliativa de mucosa oral normal de individuos fumadores y no fumadores

Objetivos. En individuos fumadores con mucosa oral clínicamente sana, se han observado cambios citológicos como una mayor queratinización, existiendo también reportes de un mayor grado de actividad nucleolar. En estos estudios, las células para frotis se han obtenido por medio de espátula de madera. Nuestro objetivo es evaluar la profundidad de muestras citológicas de mucosa oral obtenidas con cepillo para frotis (endobrush) y comparar el grado de queratinización y la actividad nucleolar en pacientes fumadores y no fumadores. A phytosociological study on the garrigue characterized by Rosmarinus officinalis and Thymbra capitata, settled on coastal lithosols unsuitable for agriculture, in the municipality of Realmonte (Southern Sicily, Agrigento province), is presented. The field work allowed, as well, to ascertain the vulnerability of the studied sites, due to the instability and erosion of the substrates, along with anthropogenic threats related to the urban sprawl affecting the area.

The article intends to make a contribution of new documentary references, from the notarial funds of the Valencian archives, in which news about parish crosses and Lignum Crucis from the silversmith center of Valencia during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries are collected. El presente trabajo pretende analizar la versión española realizada por José Garriga y Baucís de Tableau élémentaire de l’histoire naturelle des animaux (1797- 1798) de Georges Cuvier (1769-1832), promotor de la paleontología y de la anatomía comparada. La traducción en cuestión, publicada en 1834 en Valencia por el taller de Cabrerizo, es una muestra señera de la llegada a España de obras de Cuvier, entre cuyas contribuciones al desarrollo de la biología y la anatomía cabe precisamente la descripción –basada en criterios estructuralistas– del reino animal.
