The aim of this study was to determine the gender differences between students' actual and perceived water abilities, how respondents assess risk in the described situations, and whether there are gender differences for those situations. The cross-sectional study was conducted on 150 students aged 19–20 years (males, n = 88; females, n = 62) from the faculty of sport and physical education, University of Novi Sad. Evidence for strong immediate well-being effects of choral singing – With more enjoyment for women than for men

Choral singing as a leisure activity is associated with increased well-being effects. It is also known that women engage more often in singing activities than men do. The objective of the study was to investigate how emotional states vary on pre and post measurements of a regular choral rehearsal in groups of female and male choral singers. Participants were 212 individuals (women n=152, men n=60) from eleven choirs (amateur n=6, advanced n=5). Basque pilota is a traditional sport played mainly by men. A project emerged in 2005 to promote female participation: Emakumea Pilotari (Woman pelota player). In this article we present the main points that emerged from an ethnographic study of the social relationships that playing Basque pilota can provide. This chapter uses the theoretical framework of sense of belonging to explore how eldercare workers from Finnish service housing units for older people describe the use of digital devices and applications in their work and the work practices that relate to their sense of belonging. The study is based on interview data (n = 25) that was collected in 2018 for a study on digitalisation of eldercare. Tässä väitöskirjassa tarkastellaan korkeakoulutettujen tutkinnollaan saavuttamien työelämätulosten eriytymistä ja eriytymisen yhteyttä koulutusalaan sekä muihin tutkinnon suorittaneiden taustaan liittyviin tekijöihin. Näitä tekijöitä ovat sukupuoli, pohjakoulutus ja ikä. Objetivo. Evaluar las diferencias en las dimensiones del bienestar psicológico en función de los grupos de edad, sexo y su interacción. Método. Se obtuvo una muestra de 706 participantes, dividida en tres grupos de edad (jóvenes, adultos y adultos mayores), quienes respondieron a las escalas de bienestar psicológico de Ryff. Se calculó un Manova teniendo en cuenta las variables grupo de edad, sexo y su interacción.
