Mangiferin nanoemulsions in treatment of inflammatory disorders and skin regeneration

Abstract In this paper mangiferin nanoemulsions were developed using hyaluronic acid of different molecular weight, in absence or presence of Transcutol-P. An extensive study was carried out on the physico-chemical properties of nanoemulsions. Nanosizer and transmission electron microscopy showed oil droplets average size 296 nm with monodisperses distribution (PI ≤ 0.30). The zeta potential was highly negative (−30 mV). FTIR analysis confirms the existence of physical interactions among compounds. Rheological measurements allowed to conclude that all formulations present a pseudoplastic behavior (s ∼ 0.4) in presence of the biopolymer. Moreover, mangiferin release depends on the molecular …

However, analysis of some other texts written by Darwin, and of the correspondence he exchanged with friends and colleagues demonstrates that he took for granted the possibility of a natural emergence of the first life forms. A predictive approach for a real-time remote visualization of large meshes

Circulating markers of retinal and optic nerve lipids

Purpose Blood lipids are frequently used as a surrogate of lipid composition of peripheral tissues. Even if it is well accepted, such a relationship has never been clearly demonstrated for the eye. The aim of this study was to determine in human samples whether a lipidomic approach based on red blood cells could reveal associations between circulating and ocular lipid profiles. Methods Red blood cells, retinas and optic nerves were collected from 9 human donors. Parabolic pulse generation through passive reshaping of gaussian pulses in a normally dispersive fiber

We numerically and experimentally demonstrate that a Gaussian pulse can be reshaped into a pulse with a stable parabolic intensity profile during propagation in normally dispersive nonlinear fibers.

Titanium dioxide waveguides for supercontinuum generation and optical transmissions in the near-and mid-infrared

International audience; We report the development of titanium dioxide-based waveguides for applications in the near-and mid-infrared. Thanks to embedded metal grating couplers, we demonstrate error free 10 Gbit/s optical transmissions at 1.55 and 2 µm. With additional management of the dispersion profile, we also demonstrate octave spanning supercontinuum in cm-long TiO2 waveguides.

High third and second order non linearities of chalcogenide glasses and fibers for compact infrared non linear devices.

Due to their intrinsic nature, chalcogenide glasses present attractive nonlinearities from third and second order, with values reaching between 10 and 1000 times those of silica. We present a study of their properties and their shaping with the purpose to reach efficient devices in the near-mid infrared.

On of them is the use of a new spectral range around 2 µm enabled by the emergence of thulium-doped fiber amplifiers.
