This study investigates the effects of converter-interfaced generation integration on the dynamic response of the power system of Continental Europe. The system is analysed with a large-scale dynamic model of the entire synchronous area, considering different instantaneous integration percentages of converter-interfaced generation across the system. Scenario modeling for the management of international bond portfolios

We address the problem of portfolio management in the international bond markets. Interest rate risk in the local market, exchange rate volatility across markets, and decisions for hedging currency risk are integral parts of this problem. The paper develops a stochastic programming optimization model for integrating these decisions in a common framework. Monte Carlo simulation procedures, calibrated using historical observations of volatility and correlation data, generate jointly scenarios of interest and exchange rates. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot Latvijā 1990. gados dzimušās mākslinieku paaudzes trīs kapitālu – ekonomiskā, kultūras un sociālā – pielietojumu un iegūšanu mākslinieciskajā praksē, lai sekmētu simboliskā kapitāla iegūšanu gan vietējā, gan transnacionālajā mākslas laukā. Population dynamics of the Swedish Ornithological Society

It has recently been recognized that there is declining interest in ornithology among the younger generations. In this paper we analyse the short and long-term dynamics of the Swedish Ornithological Society (SOF) and the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SNF) by using analytical tools from population ecology. We first show that the increasing number of SOF and SNF members is not the result of a constant proportion of ornithologists or people interested in nature conservation among a growing Swedish population.
