The participation of national and ethnic minorities in Polish political life after 1989 is one of the achieve-ments of democratic Poland. Tracing the history of minority participation in local and parliamentary elec-tions after 1990 makes it clear that this history is dominated by the German minority. Artykuł jest próbą nakreślenia obrazu ludności Górnego Śląska w latach 1950–1989, jaki udało się odtworzyć na podstawie wybranych materiałów źródłowych, pochodzących z polskich i niemieckich archiwów. The goal of this study is to analyze and compare aspects of language learning games in the context of Finnish and Hungarian high-school teaching of German as a foreign language (GFL). First, the practices of using games in GFL are investigated. Secondly, the subjective theories of teachers on language learning games are analyzed. Background: According to some current guidelines, extended thromboprophylaxis after hip and knee arthroplasties is recommended. Outpatient prophylaxis with low molecular weight heparins (LMWH) is an important part of this prophylaxis, although the rates of adherence to these regimens is not known. Questions/purposes: We determined (1) the degree of nonadherence (NA) of patients with LMWH outpatient prophylaxis, and (2) whether specific independent factors explain NA.
