Current discussions about dollarization/euroization are built on substitution models and cost/benefits analysis. This working paper aims to go beyond these explanations based on a functionalist definition of money. An institutionalist definition of money advocates analyzing de facto dollarization more broadly as a legitimacy crisis of the unit of account that damages monetary sovereignty and of whom authorities try to check in a kind o f institutional resistance. Spatial econometric methods aim at taking into account the two special characteristics of spatial data: spatial autocorrelation, which is the lack of independence between geographical observations, and spatial heterogeneity, which is related to the differentiation of variables and behaviors in space. Ces évolutions n'ont pas conduit à une convergence linéaire entre les deux systèmes de gouvernance, mais à des emprunts réciproques en matière de réglementation et de mécanismes de contrôle implantés par les sociétés. Standards for the evaluation of management scholars lead more and more to exclude forms of scientific production other than the articles published in international scientific journals. The aim of this paper is to test the validity of these norms by analyzing the production of all university professors in management science, based on the «influen- tial» publications in Google Scholar. The articles published in internation- al journals represent only 35 % of in- fluential publications and collect only 40.2 % of citations.
