Il volume designa il lessico di base delle riscritture mitologiche di Goethe. Si tratta di brevi monografie che tengono insieme trasformazioni analitiche e, nel contempo, interpretazioni originali delle figure mitologiche cui Goethe dedica importanti opere. Gli autori coinvolti, tra i più autorevoli germanisti e compartisti europei, sono i protagonisti di una rivoluzione della filologia goethiana che prende le mosse da una più consapevole analisi della cultura visuale e teatrale del massimo scrittore tedesco.

Goethe’s deep interest in meteorology, which he showed in the last part of his life, appeared equally in scientific essays and in poetic works, so demonstrating how poetry and science were powerfully related in the poet’s life. This paper analyses “clouds” both as an atmospheric phenomenon and as a poetic image, and through an analytic path - which investigates the scientific works and the poems written as a tribute to Luke Howard - it reveals the symbolic value of this atmospheric element in Goethe’s literary production

The present contribution aims to examine the perspectives of a “plastic” morphology, that is, attentive to the theorization of a metamorphosis understood as a radical questioning of the substance and the individuality of the form; starting from Goethe, through the Warburg school and up to Malabou’s research, we intend to illustrate and briefly verify the possibility of such a line of research.
