Tutkimusta lasten kanssa

Artikkelissa tarkastellaan lasten ja tutkijoiden välisiä sukupolvisuhteita tutkimustoiminnassa. Tutkimusmenetelmänä ja tutkijoihin kohdistuvana pedagogisena menetelmänä käytetään kollaboratiivista autoetnografiaa. Artikkelissa hyödynnetään Pierre Bourdieun episteemisen refleksiivisyyden ajatusta eli tutkijan ja tutkittavien suhteiden ja asemien kriittistä arviointia. Lisäksi tutkimustoiminnassa toteutuvia sukupolvisuhteita tarkastellaan eksistentiaalisen, episteemisen ja juridis-eettisen ulottuvuuden avulla. Studies of the ideological underpinnings of retail stores have improved our understanding of consumers’ retail experiences in brand and national ideology contexts. In retailing, ideology is manifested in retail spatial settings through tangible and intangible cues in servicescapes. This study expands our knowledge on ethical retail ideology by exploring how servicescapes convey cues that shape consumption experiences and foster ethical consumption. Tutkin maisterintutkielmassani välityskeinoja ja multimodaalisuutta erään kuurojenkoulun 6–9-luokkalaisten viittomakielisten suomi toisena kielenä -oppitunneilla. Ensikieleltään viittomakielisille oppilaille suomen kieli on ensimmäinen kirjoitettu kieli, joten sen merkitys heidän elämässään on suuri, ja suomen kielen hallinta vaikuttaa moneen elämän osa-alueeseen. Tutkimuskysymyksissäni kysyn, mitä resursseja eli välityskeinoja suomi toisena kielenä -oppitunneilla on käytössä. Monitoring of erosion on two calanchi fronts – Northern Sicily (Italy)

In the present research, two neighbouring calanchi fronts have been monitored by means of repeated readings on erosion pins, that were carried out between November 2006 and October 2008. During the monitoring period, a gauge station has been recording rainfalls, allowing us to compute the Rainfall-Runoff Erosivity Factor of the USLE model. The research highlighted: i) a general correspondence between rainfalls temporal trends and surface variation rhythms; ii) alternating erosion and deposition phases result in a retreat of the “calanchi” fronts.

Ślązacy od czasów najdawniejszych do współczesności na tle innych publikacji poświęconych znanym lub zapomnianym osobistościom ze Śląska. Stanowi on swego rodzaju przegląd pięciu dotychczas opublikowanych tomów, przy czym planowana jest kontynuacja serii. Uwagę zwraca się na cechy wyróżniające tę publikację wśród innych porównywalnych leksykonów, a także na jej istotne znaczenie dla regionu i nie tylko.

Characterization of three-dimensional microstructure of composite materials by X-ray tomography

Analysis methods for X-ray microtomographic images of short fibre composite materials were developed. The methods enable estimation of microstructural properties of the material, e.g., aspect ratio and orientation of fibres. Being based on X-ray microtomography and image analysis, the methods are nondestructive and do not require user intervention. In particular, a method for determination of the aspect ratio of fibres was first developed. The method contains an assumption about similarity of the shape of the fibres. In the literature, sustainable development is still predominantly referred to environmental, economic and social sustainability.
