Understanding Structure and Stability of Monoclinic Zirconia Surfaces from First-Principles Calculations

Under the water-rich pre-treatment and/or reaction conditions, structure and chemistry of the monoclinic zirconia surfaces are strongly influenced by oxygen vacancies and incorporated water. Here, we report a combined first-principles and atomistic thermodynamics study on the structure and stability of selected surfaces of the monoclinic zirconia. Our results indicate that among the studied surfaces, the most stable (111) surface is the least vulnerable towards oxygen vacancies in contrast to the less stable (011) and (101) surfaces, where formation of oxygen vacancies is energetically more favorable. The considerations contained in this article focus on the significance of regional education in preschool and school education. Regional education is a relatively young pedagogical conception, which appeared in the literaturę at the beginning of the 1990s. It is inseparably connected with that of regionalism defined as ”a return to one’s own roots”. The assumptions behind regional education and its content are formulated on the basis of the core curriculum of comprehensive education at indrndual stages of teaching. It makes a vital element in the program of teaching native language, history, geography and other school subjects.

The paper describes one of the first outcomes of an Italian national research Project on inertial positioning in photogrammetry. The focus of the paper is on the quality which is attainable from direct photogrammetry in an industrial production context. Even if GPS/IMU-aided photogrammetry is used rather widely, it is still useful to perform rigorous quality assessment of this method, because large and diverse case studies are necessary to prove and quantify the capability of a new methodology. In the sociocultural and socioeducational context of Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, grammar is often perceived as a succession of rules to be assimilated in order to apply them in exercises, the central aim being gratification through marks. For this learning public, mostly Arabic, from an educational culture where rote learning is privileged, grammar is deemed indispensable and as difficult as that of Arabic. FFL teachers are facing a major challenge: to design French grammar as a tool for access to meaning, jointly and alongside vocabulary. In this perspective, a passage through the study of representations provides valuable insight.

Questo lavoro contiene una rassegna dei metodi che sono usati per la previsione delle prestazioni del veicolo su strada, in dipendenza del motore installato. La prima parte mostra il calcolo delle resistenze al moto, cioè le forze che il veicolo deve vincere per avanzare sulle strade piane e in salita. Particolarmente interessante appare la parte che riguarda la resistenza aerodinamica, della quale si tratta di metodi sperimentali (galleria del vento), metodi empirici e metodi CFD.
