The N-dimensional N-person chesslike game strategy analysis model

In this research a mathematical, symmetric n-player game model, based on chess is designed. Symmetry in this context refers to players' positions with respect to each other. While the order of move naturally violates the symmetry, this problem may also be solved. The motivation for building this kind of game model stems from the difficulty of finding mathematical solutions for multi-player games in general. The number of varying factors is so huge, that finding optimal strategies is mathematically almost impossible. The best way to attempt this is to use simulation. A Band Model of Cambium Development: Opportunities and Prospects

More than 60% of tree phytomass is concentrated in stem wood, which is the result of periodic activity of the cambium. Nevertheless, there are few attempts to quantitatively describe cambium dynamics. In this study, we develop a state-of-the-art band model of cambium development, based on the kinetic heterogeneity of the cambial zone and the connectivity of the cell structure. The model describes seasonal cambium development based on an exponential function under climate forcing which can be effectively used to estimate the seasonal cell production for individual trees. Sana-assosiaatioverkkojen koheesion yhteys ryhmädynamiikkaan

Tässä pilottitutkimuksessa selvitettiin sana-assosiaatioiden koheesiota ryhmissä. Tarkoituksena oli selvittää, löytyykö yhtenäisyyttä ryhmän keskinäisen toimeen tulemisen välillä ja sen suhteen, kuinka ryhmät assosioivat sanoja. Assosiaatioiden koheesion mittaamisessa käytettiin pohjatietona muistiteorioita ja verkkoteoriaa. Koehenkilöt olivat Jyväskylän yliopistossa järjestetyn kurssin oppilaita, jotka jakaantuivat ryhmiin. Kurssin aluksi ensimmäiset assosiaatiotehtävät teetettiin oppilailla. Kurssin loputtua he tekivät kaksi uutta tehtävää sekä ensimmäiset tehtävät, jotta osalle tehtävistä saatiin kaksi eri mittauspistettä.
