More restrictive Gray codes for necklaces and Lyndon words

2008

In the last years, the order induced by the Binary Reflected Gray Code or its generalizations shown an increasing interest. In this note we show that the BRGC order induces a cyclic 2-Gray code on the set of binary necklaces and Lyndon words and a cyclic 3-Gray code on the unordered counterparts. This is an improvement and a generalization to unlabeled words of the result in [V. Vajnovszki, Gray code order for Lyndon words, Discrete Math. Theoret. Comput. Sci. 9 (2) (2007) 145-152; M. Weston, V. The all-too-human animal: Schopenhauer’s Influence in John Gray’s critique of humanism

2015

A critical assessment of automatic photoelastic methods for the analysis of edge residual stresses in glass

2014

The measurement of residual stresses is of great importance in the glass industry. The analysis of residual stresses in the glass is usually carried out by photoelastic methods since the glass is a photoelastic material. This article considers the determination of membrane residual stresses of glass plates by digital photoelasticity. In particular, it presents a critical assessment concerning the automated methods based on gray-field polariscope, spectral content analysis, phase shifting, RGB photoelasticity, “test fringes” methods and “tint plate” method. These methods can effectively automate manual methods currently specified in some standards.

Extract information of polarization imaging from local matching stereo

2010

Since polarization of light was used in the field of computer vision, the research of polarization vision is rapidly growing. Polarization vision has been shown to simplify some important image understanding tasks that can be more difficult to be performed with intensity vision. Furthermore, it has computational efficiency because it only needs grayscale images and can be easily applied by a simple optical setup. Nowadays, we can find various types of polarization cameras in the market. However, they are very expensive. In our work, we will study and develop a low price polarization camera setup with parallel acquisition using a stereo system. This system requires only two general cameras e…

Choosing local matching score method for stereo matching based-on polarization imaging

2010

Polarization imaging is a powerful tool to observe hidden information from an observed object. It has significant advantages, such as computational efficiency (it only needs gray scale images) and can be easily applied by adding a polarizer in front of a camera. Many researchers used polarization in various areas of computer vision, such as object recognition, segmentation and so on. However, there is very little research in stereo vision based on polarization. Stereo vision is a well known technique for obtaining depth information from pairs of stereo digital images. One of the main focuses of research in this area is to get accurate stereo correspondences. In our work, we will study and d…

Image Colorization Method Using Texture Descriptors and ISLIC Segmentation

2017

We present a new colorization method to assign color to a grayscale image based on a reference color image using texture descriptors and Improved Simple Linear Iterative Clustering (ISLIC). Firstly, the pixels of images are classified using Support Vector Machine (SVM) according to texture descriptors, mean luminance, entropy, homogeneity, correlation, and local binary pattern (LBP) features. Then, the grayscale image and the color image are segmented into superpixels, which are obtained by ISLIC to produce more uniform and regularly shaped superpixels than those obtained by SLIC, and the classified images are further post-processed combined with superpixles for removing erroneous classific…

Convolutional Neural Network-Based Human Movement Recognition Algorithm in Sports Analysis

2021

In order to analyse the sports psychology of athletes and to identify the psychology of athletes in their movements, a human action recognition (HAR) algorithm has been designed in this study. First, a HAR model is established based on the convolutional neural network (CNN) to classify the current action state by analysing the action information of a task in the collected videos. Secondly, the psychology of basketball players displaying fake actions during the offensive and defensive process is investigated by combining with related sports psychological theories. Then, the psychology of athletes is also analysed through the collected videos, so as to predict the next response action of the …

Neuroimaging correlates of insight in non-affective psychosis: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

2022

Abstract Objective Neurological correlates of impaired insight in non-affective psychosis remain unclear. This study aimed to review and meta-analyze the studies assessing the grey matter volumetric correlates of impaired insight in non-affective psychosis. Methods This study consisted of a systematic review of 23 studies, and a meta-analysis with SDM-PSI of the 11 studies that were whole-brain and reported maps or peaks of correlation of studies investigating the grey matter volumetric correlates of insight assessments of non-affective psychosis, PubMed and OVID datasets were independently reviewed for articles reporting neuroimaging correlates of insight in non-affective psychosis. Gray coding cubic planar maps

2016

International audience; The idea of (combinatorial) Gray codes is to list objects in question in such a way that two successive objects differ in some pre-specified small way. In this paper, we utilize beta-description trees to cyclicly Gray code three classes of cubic planar maps, namely, bicubic planar maps, 3-connected cubic planar maps, and cubic non-separable planar maps. Novel high-performance QCA Fredkin gate and designing scalable QCA binary to gray and vice versa

2022

AbstractIn the design of digital logic circuits, QCA technology is an excellent alternative to CMOS technology. Its advantages over CMOS include low power consumption, fast circuit switching, and nanoscale design. Circuits that convert data between different formats are code converters. Code converters have an essential role in high-performance computing and signal processing. In this paper, first, we proposed a novel QCA structure for the quantum reversible Fredkin gate. Second, we proposed 4-bit and 8-bit QCA binary-to-gray converter and vice versa. For the second proposal, both reversible and irreversible structures are suggested. The proposed structures are scalable up to N bits. To cha…
