To write is a complex, delicate and intense act. The goal of this study has been to find out what the process of creative writing looks like when viewed through the concepts of ritual and play. I have engaged with creative writing research, research on ritual and play, and new materialist philosophy. Research data has been formed by ethnographic methods in a writing group as well as my own creative work. I have applied ritual and play to create writing prompts and creative writing methods. The ethnographic data consists of personal and group interviews of creative writers. Während der Verlauf und die Ursachen des Geburtenverhaltens intensiv erforscht wurden, sind die finanziellen Folgen einer Geburt empirisch kaum beachtet worden. Daher werden hier kurzfristige Wohlstandsveränderungen von Familien (hinsichtlich verfügbarem Haushaltseinkommen und Äquivalenzeinkommen) rund um die Geburt eines Kindes in längsschnittlicher Perspektive analysiert und auf ihre Ursachen untersucht. Zu diesem Zweck wurden die Daten des Sozio-oekonomischen Panels (1984-2005) mittels Fixed-Effekt-Panelregressionsmodellen analysiert. Revisiting the Solid Flux Theory

Several variations of the basic activated sludge process and of the related design procedures for final clarifiers have been developed, which are frequently based on the well-known solid flux theory (SFT). In this paper, by using the Lambert W function and a “virtual” solid flux corresponding to the Vesilind parameters’ ratio, the SFT is reformulated, and dimensionless groups are detected, which highly reduce the number of parameters that are involved in the final clarifiers’ design procedure. Izstādi “Studentu dziesmu un deju festivāls “Gaudeamus” dalībnieku atmiņās” veido bijušo un esošo Latvijas Universitātes pašdarbības kolektīvu dalībnieku fotogrāfijas no dažādiem svētkiem un ar svētkiem saistītām aktivitātēm – mēģinājumiem, svētku gājieniem un koncertiem. Tāpat izstādē iespējams iepazīties ar bijušā Deju folkloras kopas “Dandari” dalībnieka Aivara Narvaiša iespaidiem par “Gaudeamus” svētkiem, nelielu izstādē apskatāmo svētku vēsturi un interesantāko informāciju, kā arī festivāla “Gaudeamus” hronoloģiju.
Sūnu daudzveidība uz atmirušās koksnes egļu mežos saistībā ar koksnes vecumu un substrāta īpašībām

Atmirusī koksne ir specifisks un dinamisks substrāts. Tā kalpo kā dzīves vide daudzām retām un tieši šim substrātam specifiskām sūnu sugām, kas norāda uz nepieciešamību veikt detalizētus pētījumus par atmirušo koksni kā sūnām nozīmīgu substrātu. Pētījumā salīdzināts sūnu sugu un funkcionālo grupu sastāvs uz dažādiem atmirušās koksnes veidiem (kritalām, stumbeņiem, sausokņiem), analizēta sūnu sugu un funkcionālo grupu bagātība saistībā ar atmirušās koksnes vecumu un substrāta parametriem (izmēri, sadalīšanās pakāpe). Kopumā uz visiem atmirušās koksnes veidiem konstatētas 53 sūnu sugas (40 lapu un 13 aknu sūnas). Novērotas atšķirības sūnu sugu sastāvā starp kritalām un stāvošu atmirušo koksni…
