On the performance of the Spanish teachers that accompanied the so called «Children of Morelia» expedition, the specialists that have dealt with the topic so far have made a severe negative judgment. In this work we bring to light, for the first time and through unpublished documentation, the repeated initiatives that these teachers took to try to complete their guardian mission, which could not be carried out completely due to the position of the Mexican authorities.

The plans and the evolutionary trends of policies and practices implemented in Erice old town, in the south of Italy, in the western part of Sicily, can be considered a case study of total conservation as highly representative of Italian urban planning of the last 60 years. This paper aims to deal with the actual problems and the perspective of sustainable development of the historical centre of Erice, by adopting the approach of urban and territorial regeneration. The methodologies of microgeophysics have been derived from the geophysical ones, for the sake of solving specific diagnostic and/or monitoring problems regarding civil engineering and cultural heritage studies. Generally, the investigations are carried out using different 2D and 3D tomographic approaches as well as different energy sources: sonic and ultrasonic waves, electromagnetic (inductive and impulsive) sources, electric potential fields, and infrared emission. Andris Lapiņš izstrādāja kvalifikācijas darbu ,,Droša identifikācijas sistēmas izveide mobilajām ierīcēm”. Kvalifikācijas darba mērķis ir secināt, kurš protokols un kāda implementācija spētu nodrošināt drošāko un ātrāko savienojumu starp kvalifikācijas darbā pētītajām tehnoloģijām. Kvalifikācijas darba uzdevumi bija izpētīt dažādus droša savienojuma izveidošanas protokolus un to implementācijas, ar kuru palīdzību vienlaikus būtu iespējams nodrošināt mobilo iekārtu klejošanu pa dažādiem tīkliem attālināti jeb caur internetu. Rezultātā tika eksperimentētas VPN funkcionalitātes, un pētījums sniedza sapratni, kuru tehnoloģiju vislabāk izvēlēties atbilstoši darba vietas prasībām.

Identification of Leguminosae gums and evaluation of carob-guar mixtures by capillary zone electrophoresis of protein extracts.

A procedure for the extraction and capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) separation of proteins from carob, guar and tara gums in a background electrolyte (BGE) of pH 9 containing 0.1% polyvinyl alcohol is described. The CZE protein profiles exhibit characteristic peaks for each one of the Leguminosae gums, which can be used to construct models capable of identifying samples of carob, guar and tara gums, and predicting the guar content in binary carob-guar mixtures of different geographical origin and harvested in different years.
