Ultrasound-Guided Breast-Conservative Surgery Decreases the Rate of Reoperations for Palpable Breast Cancer

The purpose of this study is to verify whether the performance of ultrasound-guided quadrantectomy (USGQ) versus palpation-guided quadrantectomy (PGQ) can reduce the incidence of positive margins and if it can change the attitude of the surgeon. A retrospective study was conducted on 842 patients underwent quadrantectomy for breast cancer, 332 of them underwent USGQ, whereas 550 underwent PGQ. The histological type of the tumors and the margin status obtained with the histological examination were compared. Abstract: Informed by a series of systematic reviews, scoping reviews and evidence updates from the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation, the 2021 European Resuscitation Council Guidelines present the most up to date evidence-based guidelines for the practice of resuscitation across Europe. The guidelines cover the epidemiology of cardiac arrest; the role that systems play in saving lives, adult basic life support, adult advanced life support, resuscitation in special circumstances, post resuscitation care, first aid, neonatal life support, paediatric life support, ethics and education.

TRIANGLE is a multicentre trial investigating whether the addition of a novel intervention for patients and carers (ECHOMANTRA) to treatment as usual (TAU) improves outcomes for people with anorexia nervosa (AN). ECHOMANTRA is based on the cognitive interpersonal model of AN and includes assessments, workbooks, videos, online groups and joint Skype sessions for patients and carers. Information on dietary adequacy is needed to assess food and nutrition security in a modern society, especially in the transition towards climate-friendly food systems. In this study, differences in the nutritional adequacy of diets among Finnish adults were evaluated in population groups of different education, income and urbanisation levels. The study used data from the FinDiet 2017 Survey (n = 1655, 18–74 years).
