Occurrence of CTX-M Producing Escherichia coli in Soils, Cattle, and Farm Environment in France (Burgundy Region).

2012

Article en open access; International audience; CTX-M [a major type of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBU] producing Escherichia coli are increasingly involved in human infections worldwide. The aim of this study was to investigate potential reservoirs for such strains: soils, cattle, and farm environment. The prevalence of bla(CTX-M) genes was determined directly from soil DNA extracts obtained from 120 sites in Burgundy (France) using real-time PCR. bla(CTX-M) targets were found in 20% of the DNA extracts tested. Samples of cattle feces (n = 271) were collected from 182 farms in Burgundy. Thirteen ESBL-producing isolates were obtained from 12 farms and further characterized for the pr…

Impact of DNA Extraction Method on Variation in Human and Built Environment Microbial Community and Functional Profiles Assessed by Shotgun Metagenom…

2020

Both the host microbiome and the microbiome of the built environment can have profound impacts on human health. While prior studies have suggested that the variability introduced by DNA extraction method is less than typical biologic variation, most studies have focused on 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing or on high biomass fecal samples. Shotgun metagenomic sequencing provides advantages over amplicon sequencing for surveying the microbiome, but is a challenge to perform in lower microbial biomass samples with high human DNA content such as sputum or vacuumed dust. Here we systematically evaluate the impact of four different extraction methods (phenol:choloroform, and three high-throughput kit…

Savigny a Bethmann-Hollweg, 27 agosto 1817: diritto e fede nella Historische Rechtsschule

2020

An unpublished letter written by Savigny to Bethmann-Hollweg in August 1817 provides a starting point for thinking about the relationship between the religious ideology of the Christian Revival (Erweckungsbewegung) , Prussian nationalism and the concept of law within the German Historical School.

Pratiques et évolution de la vinification dans un cellier bourguignon à la fin du Moyen Âge : le cas de la collégiale Notre-Dame de Beaune (fin XIVe-…

2014

The accounts of the cellar of the collegiate church of Notre-Dame of Beaune are almost continuously preserved from the end of the 14th century to the French Revolution of 1789. Until the year 1507 the canons themselves exploited a part of their domain, located mainly in the territory of the city of Beaune. This enables us to describe precisely the current practices of this cellar, and thus the winemaking process of the " vin de Beaune " at the end of the Middle Ages. This article explores the different techniques in use, in both their materiality and in their specificities. We also try to point out the evolution of the practices from ca. 1380 to 1500, respecting the point of view of the med…

Le “plaisir sucré” de la duchesse : un point sur la production du « galant de Madame » à la fin du Moyen Âge. https://preo.u-bourgogne.fr/crescentis/…

2021

Among the range of products elaborated in the Dukes of Burgundy vineyards at the end of the Middle Ages, the galant is first quoted in 1383. This paper strives to shed new light upon the sources in which the galant appears, i.e. the accountability documentation of the Dukes’ vineyards. Our research focuses on two demesnes located near Dijon: Talant and Chenôve.The study of this rare product (2-4% of total production), which was certainly flavored with gentian, shows that the notion of fortified wine should be reconsidered for the 14th and 15th centuries. The galant was obtained only by heating white grape must in a cauldron, searching to reach a diminution of one- or two-thirds of the basic…

Casi di spontaneizzazione di Negundo aceroides (Aceraceae, Magnoliophyta) in Sicilia

2007
