Stereocontrolled synthesis of fluorine-containing piperidine γ-amino acid derivatives

An efficient synthetic approach for the construction of fluorine‐containing piperidine γ‐amino acid derivatives has been developed. The synthetic concept was based on oxidative ring opening of an unsaturated bicyclic γ‐lactam (Vince‐lactam) through its ring C=C bond, followed by double reductive amination of the diformyl intermediate performed with various fluoroalkylamines. The method has been extended towards the access of alkylated and perfluoroalkylated substances and for γ‐lactam derivatives. Nanoparticles have become an important utility in many areas of medical treatment such as targeted drug and treatment delivery as well as imaging and diagnostics. These advances require a complete understanding of nanoparticles' fate once placed in the body. Upon exposure to blood, proteins adsorb onto the nanoparticles surface and form a protein corona, which determines the particles' biological fate. Tutkielman kirjallisessa osassa perehdytään bisfosfonaatteihin, niiden ominaisuuksiin ja valmistukseen sekä käyttöön lääketieteessä. Bisfosfonaattien valmistuksessa perehdytään sekä itse bisfosfonaattien että niiden johdannaisten valmistukseen. Bisfosfonaattien ominaisuuksia käydään läpi esittämällä niiden kemiallisia, biokemiallisia sekä farmakologisia ominaisuuksia ja vaikutustapoja. Eri bisfosfonaattien ominaisuuksia käsittelevät kappaleet on jaoteltu niistä käytettävän sukupolvijaottelun mukaisesti. Bisfosfonaattien käytössä pääosassa ovat niiden lääketieteelliset sovellukset. Lietotne ļauj lietotājam formulēt savienojumus starp dienas un sapņu ierakstiem, kuri ir pašanalīzes rezultāti. Mērķis ir piedāvāt objektīvu rīku sevis analīzei caur sapņiem, nebalstoties uz psihoanalīzes skolām, t.i., necensties pateikt lietotājam kā analizēt sapņus. International audience; The present study aimed at (1) identifying the emotion regulation processes that can explain the trait hedonism positive emotions relationship, and (2) determining whether this relationship varies according to which part of the distribution of positive emotions is considered. To this end, the intensity of the positive emotions felt by 84 adult participants, and the intensity of their engagement in savoring, were assessed twice a day over a month period, using an Experience Sampling Method. The development of recovery techniques for metals present in low concentrations in E-waste, such as silver and palladium, is important from the aspect of the circular economy. Adsorption of palladium and silver was studied in detail in a batch process with silica-based Thiol scavenger from nitric acid leachate of waste printed circuit boards (PCBs). High adsorption efficiencies of Pd(II) and Ag(I), >97%, were reached in nitric acid concentrations below 3 mol L−1. At higher acid concentrations, adsorption efficiency of Ag(I) decreased drastically which enables the separation of Ag(I) and Pd(II) based on nitric acid concentration in sample solution. Effective values of the axial-vector coupling constant gA have lately attracted much attention due to the prominent role of gA in determining the half-lives of double β decays, in particular their neutrinoless mode. The half-life method, i.e., comparing the calculated half-lives to the corresponding experimental ones, is the most widely used method to access the effective values of gA. The present paper investigates the possibilities offered by a complementary method: the spectrum-shape method (SSM). Consider time-harmonic acoustic scattering from a bounded penetrable obstacle $D\subset {\mathbb R}^N$ embedded in a homogeneous background medium. The index of refraction characterizing the material inside $D$ is supposed to be Holder continuous near the corners. If $D\subset {\mathbb R}^2$ is a convex polygon, we prove that its shape and location can be uniquely determined by the far-field pattern incited by a single incident wave at a fixed frequency. In dimensions $N \geq 3$, the uniqueness applies to penetrable scatterers of rectangular type with additional assumptions on the smoothness of the contrast.
