Scheduling under the network of temporo-spatial proximity relationships
2017
We discuss and introduce to the schedulingeld a novel, qualitative optimization model - scheduling under the network of temporo-spatial proximity relationships. We introduce a half perimeter proximity measure as an objective of scheduling. We present and evaluate an incremental Sequence Pair neighborhood evaluation algorithm, applicable to both scheduling and rectangle packing problems in VLSI industry. In this paper, we discuss and introduce to the scheduling field a novel optimization objective - half perimeter proximity measure in scheduling under the network of temporo-spatial proximity relationships. The presented approach enables to qualitatively express various reasons of scheduling ce…
Socioeconomic inequalities in adolescent health complaints : a multilevel latent class analysis in 45 countries
2022
AbstractOur study evaluated the relationship between adolescent health complaints and socioeconomic position in 45 countries. Data are from the 2017/2018 international Health Behaviour in School-aged Children survey which used proportionate sampling among adolescents aged 11 to 15 years old (n=228,979). Multilevel, multinomial regression analysis assessed the association between the multilevel latent classes with socioeconomic status (SES; at the household and country level). Three distinct latent classes were identified: No Complaints, Psychological Complaints, and a Physical and Psychological Complaints class; where, low household SES was highest for the physical and psychological complai…
Considerations Regarding the Public Budget in Romania
2019
The paper presents the etymology, the legal and economic significance, and the structure of the Romanian budgetary system. At the same time, the evolution of the main indicators from 2006-2018 is presented. It is presented, how the budget flows are generated and used, but also the results obtained in the budget years from the aforementioned period. The paper presents the evolution of macroeconomic indicators, which reflect the level, dynamics and structure of budgetary expenditures and revenues. Mostly the objectives of the paper consist of monitoring the evolution of the general consolidated budget and analysing the way of framing the deficit within the maximum limits allowed during the re…
Medical Services - A Significant Component of the Economic Activity
2017
Medical services and their quality represent an important aspect for each individual, for the whole society, and the health of the population is a motor of the economy in the productive sphere. The main conditions that a high-quality health system must meet are: general coverage, response to needs, equity, efficiency, state responsibility towards public health. The present study is a comparison of marketing health services in Romania and worldwide. The current consumer of health services is more educated and more concerned with health needs than in the past. The marketing of these services has begun to be viewed from a new perspective, more aggressive and more marketing-oriented and business …

Financial Performance of Mandatory Private Pension Funds in Countries of Central and Eastern Europe. A Comparative Study Between Romania and Slovakia
2020
Decreased birth rate and aging population represent a treat to PAYG public pension systems implemented in countries of Central and Eastern Europe, due to the fact that the financing is direct dependent of the social contributions payed by the taxpayers active on labor market. As solution, World Bank promotes the diversification of funding sources for pension systems and a multi-pillar structure that includes privately managed pension funds. The purpose of this paper is to present how the multi-pillar structure was implemented in Romania and Slovakia, focusing on the evolution and performance of mandatory private pension funds. The main conclusion of this article highlights that in the curre…
Study on the Influence of Economic and Social Factors on the Financing of National Defense
2020
In the Romanian literature and current research, the financing of national defense is a less debated topic. Most studies are conducted mainly for developed countries, which also have the most advanced military systems and focus only on the correlation between military spending and the economy. The objective of the paper is to investigate the correlation between the evolution of military spending in Romania during 1919-2012 on the one hand, and economic, political and social factors, on the other. The empirical study performed used the linear regression model, estimated by the least squares method (OLS), using the statistical software EViews 10. The results of the study showed that the level…
Semʹâ i vospitanie detejv religioznom diskurse arhiepiskopa Simferopolʹskogo i Krymskogo Luki
2020
During four decades of his service in the Church, Valentin Felixovich Voino-Yasenetsky (Archbishop Luke of Simferopol and Crimea) delivered numerous sermons, most of which were recorded. Later, they began to appear in the form of publications and became the object of research by representatives of various scientific disciplines. In his sermons, apart from other issues, the preacher paid special attention to the family and education of the younger generation. This article is an attempt to analyze the religious discourse of the Archbishop, using the example of the sermon “On the family and education of children”, delivered by him on 13 October 1947. The author of the sermon adheres to the trad…
FORMATION OF MOLECULES IN ULTRACOLD ATOMIC GASES VIA QUASI-RESONANT FIELDS
2010
we study the nonlinear mean-field dynamics of diatomic molecule formation at coherent photo- and magneto-association of ultracold atoms focusing on the case when the system is initially in the all-atomic state. We show that in the limit of strongly nonlinear interaction between an ultra-cold atomic-molecular system and a quasi-resonant electromagnetic field, the molecule formation process, depending on the characteristics of the associating field, may evolve according two different scenarios, namely, weak- and strong-oscillatory regimes. In the first case the number of molecules increases without pronounced oscillations of atom-molecule populations, while in the second case high-amplitude R…
Safety and immunogenicity of the therapeutic vaccine TG1050 in chronic hepatitis B patients: a phase 1b placebo-controlled trial
2020
Funding: Transgène; International audience; Treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) typically requires life-long administration of drugs. Cohort and pre-clinical studies have established the link between a functional T-cell-mounted immunity and resolution of infection. TG1050 is an adenovirus 5-based vaccine that expresses HBV polymerase and domains of core and surface antigen and has shown immunogenicity and antiviral effects in mice. We performed a phase 1 clinical trial to assess safety and explore immunogenicity and early efficacy of TG1050 in CHB patients. This randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study included two sequential phases: one single dose cohort (SD, n = 12) and one …
