Expectations as Reference Points: Field Evidence from Professional Soccer

We show that professional soccer players and their coaches exhibit reference-dependent behavior during matches. Controlling for the state of the match and for unobserved heterogeneity, we show on a minute-by-minute basis that players breach the rules of the game, measured by the referee’s assignment of cards, significantly more often if their teams are behind the expected match outcome, measured by preplay betting odds of large professional bookmakers. We further show that coaches implement significantly more offensive substitutions if their teams are behind expectations. Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitettiin bromattujen palonestoaineiden määrää eri jätejakeissa. Tutkitut yhdisteet olivat kaupalliset PBDE:t (PeBDE, OBDE ja DBDE) ja HBCD. Näiden yhdisteiden on todettu olevan haitallisia terveydelle ja ympäristölle sekä suoraan että välil-lisesti. PeBDE, OBDE ja HBCD ovat POP-yhdisteitä. Investigation about selective harmonic elimination in unbalanced multilevel inverters

In this paper 5 and 7 levels cascaded H-bridges inverters are considered, feeding by unequal dc voltage sources. The effect of these unbalancing operation is examined concerning harmonic analysis and total harmonic distortion of the output voltages. The system of equations, obtained by the expansion in the Fourier series of phase output voltage, is solved by applying a method of graphic solution that allows obtaining the switching angles able to eliminate the lower order harmonics.

La presencia de agentes biológicos en el medio laboral supone una exposición del trabajador a posibles infecciones, especialmente cuando no se cumplen las medidas de protección o se producen accidentes. El presente trabajo es un estudio retrospectivo descriptivo para determinar las características epidemiológicas de los accidentes de tipo biológico en el personal sanitario y no sanitario del Hospital Dr. Peset de Valencia desde enero de 2008 hasta diciembre de 2013.
