Tutkielmassa selvitetään, miten taiwanilaiset sanomalehdet kuvasivat ja rakensivat taiwanilaista kansakuntaa presidentti Chen Shui-bianin korruptioskandaalin yhteydessä syksyllä 2006. Aineistona on kahden taiwanilaisen englanninkielisen sanomalehden, Taipei Timesin ja China Postin jutut. Pääaineistona on 40 pääkirjoitusta ja 38 asiantuntija-artikkelia, lisäaineistona on 120 uutista. Vertailuaineistona on lisäksi kahden kiinalaisen sanomalehden, China Dailyn ja Kansan päivälehden 26 uutista skandaalista. The new cis-dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes [MoO2(L2)(H2O)] (2) and [MoO2(L3) (H2O)] (3) containing the tridentate hydrazone-based ligands (H2L2 = N'-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzylidene)-4-methylbenzohydrazide and H2L3 = N'-(2-hydroxybenzylidene)-2-(hydroxyimino)propanehydrazide) have been synthesised and characterized via IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Studies have found math anxiety and achievement to be related from the beginning of formal schooling, but the knowledge regarding the direction of the relationship is vague. The purpose of the present study was to study this relationship. We investigated math anxiety from two points of view: trait and state anxiety. In the first substudy, we investigated the longitudinal relationship between math anxiety and performance from sixth to seventh grade (n = 848) with cross-lagged modeling. This large, international dataset contains survey responses from N = 12,570 students from 100 universities in 35 countries, collected in 21 languages. We measured anxieties (statistics, mathematics, test, trait, social interaction, performance, creativity, intolerance of uncertainty, and fear of negative evaluation), self-efficacy, persistence, and the cognitive reflection test, and collected demographics, previous mathematics grades, self-reported and official statistics grades, and statistics module details. ‘It's Not Like Everything Changes Just With a Click on New Year's Eve’ : Perceptions on Educational Issues of University Mergers in Finland

The study explored educational perceptions concerning Finnish university mergers. The data were collected by interviewing academics and students (n = 30) in four merger projects. Qualitative content analysis was applied to the data.
