Ever since the beginning of international climate conservation politics there has been variation across nations in political traditions in debating the climate issue. Political decision-makers have interpreted the scientific findings on global warming with different emphases, thereby giving rise to variation in views on preferred national or international solutions. The research topic of this dissertation is the press of the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP) from the March revolution of 1917 in Russia to the end of the Finnish Civil War in the spring of 1918. Under research are 16 party papers, which, however, were not owned by the party, and therefore neither under its guidance nor control. The papers' owners, local working class organizations, elected the editors-in-chief, who often held central posts in the party. In this way they could use their relatively independent positions to further their political views in their editorials. Construction of structurally complex architectures using inherently chiral, asymmetric, or multi-heterotopic ligands is a major challenge in metallosupramolecular chemistry. Moreover, the hierarchical self-organization of such complexes is unique. Here, we introduce a water-soluble, facially amphiphilic, amphoteric, chiral, asymmetric, and hetero-tritopic ligand derived from natural bile acid, ursodeoxycholic acid. We show that via the supramolecular transmetalation reaction, using nitrates of Cu(II) or Fe(III), and subsequently Pd(II), a superchiral Pd3L6 complex can be obtained. Tässä tutkielmassa kuvaan, miten Yhdysvaltain media reagoi Neuvostoliiton muutosprosessiin ja hajoamiseen vuosina 1987-1991, jolloin Neuvostoliitossa oli käynnissä Mihail Gorbatshovin ajama uudistuspolitiikka. Tutkielmassa käytetyt lehdet edustavat Yhdysvaltain valtamediaa: New York Times, Washington Post sekä Newsweek. Metodina on käytetty historiallis-kvalitatiivista lähilukumenetelmää. Lähisuhdeväkivalta on yhä 2010-luvun Suomessa vakava sosiaalinen, taloudellinen ja inhimillinen ongelma. Yhteiskunnallisia toimenpiteitä lähisuhdeväkivaltaan puuttumiseksi ja auttamisjärjestelmien kehittämiseksi on toteutettu eri sektoreilla viimeisen kahdenkymmenen vuoden aikana runsaasti, mutta edelleenkin lähisuhdeväkivallan uhreille tarjottavista palveluista ja niiden alueellisesta jakautumisesta on vain hajanaista tietoa. Talvella 2012 Sosiaali- ja terveysministeriö antoi Jyväskylän yliopiston sosiaalityön yksikölle toimeksiannoksi toteuttaa selvitys lähisuhdeväkivallan uhreiksi joutuneille naisille tarjottavista palveluista.
