Two-neutron correlations at small relative momenta in ^40Ar + ^197Au collisions at 60 MeV/nucleon

Two-neutron correlation functions are measured in the 40Ar + 197Au reaction at 60 MeV/nucleon to study the space-time characteristics of neutron emitting sources. The source temperatures and velocities are deduced by fitting the single-neutron energy spectra with a three-source model. A comparison of the correlation data with the predictions of the model of moving sources and with the dynamical Landau-Vlasov model suggests the relevance of a multisource description. Particular care has been paid to the influence of the relative source abundance on the shape of the correlation function.

Abstract The precise determination of atomic and nuclear properties such as masses, differential charge radii, nuclear spins, electromagnetic moments and the ionization potential of the actinides has been extended to the late actinides in recent years. In particular, laser spectroscopy and mass spectrometry have reached the region of heavy actinides that can only be produced only at accelerator facilities. The new results provide deeper insight into the impact of relativistic effects on the atomic structure and the evolution of nuclear shell effects around the deformed neutron shell closure at N = 152. International audience; The reversible redox isomerisms in first row transition metal complexes of the type ML2 were studied. The six ML2 complexes (M = Mn(III) (), Fe(II) (), Co(III) (), Ni(II) (), Cu(II) () and Zn(II) ()) were synthesized with a redox active Schiff base ligand [2-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroxyphenylamino)-4-chlorophenol] (H3L) presenting different oxidation states from -2 to 0 (L(2-), L(-) and L(0)). Abstract The aim of the carried out research was passive and active biomonitoring of woodlands in the Opole province. Pleurozium schreberi mosses were used during the research, in which the following heavy metals concentrations were determined: Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb. International audience; Fluxes of suspended particulate matter (SPM) and their associated metals were performed off the Mejerda River Delta during both the wet (March) and the dry (July) seasons in 2012, using sediment traps at study stations at depths of 10, 20 and 40 m. Fluxes nearest to the Mejerda outlet were more significant, especially during winter (36 g m−2 day−1), but dissipated further offshore, 24.5–6 g m−2 day−1 at the 20 m and 21.8–4.8 g m−2 day−1 at the 40 m stations. Pb contents (13-53 mg kg−1) and pathological changes in almost complete cow skeletonsdiscovered in graves adjacent to Pb and Ag smelting furnaces active in the Silesian-Cracovian region, in the mid-12th century are reported in the article. In particular, symbiotic microbes can reduce or enhance tolerance to temperature extremes, improve desiccation resistance by aiding cuticle biosynthesis and sclerotization, and detoxify heavy metals. When scarce, copper is acquired from extracellular environment or remobilized from intracellular sites, through members of the high affinity copper transporters family COPT located at the plasma membrane and internal membrane, respectively.
