Listado de síntomas breve (short checklist of symptoms) in Argentinean adults: Psychometric study of its main clinical scales

The main objective of this research was studying the psychometric properties of the Listado de síntomas breve (short checklist of symptoms; LSB-50) in a sample of 994 Argentinean adults (49.9% females; 50.1% males). Mean age was 40.66 years (standard deviation=17.01; Min=18; Max=89). This screening test has seven main clinical scales: hypersensitivity, obsessive-compulsive, anxiety, hostility, somatization, depression, and sleep disturbance. Pearson correlations indicated that all scales had positive and mostly moderate associations. Cleckley’s concept of psychopathy includes characteristics such as superficial charm, unreliability, and affective poverty. In this study, the Psychopathy Checklist (PCL) and personality questionnaires (MMPI, CPI, EPQ, and SSS) were used to assess 92 non-violent male offenders. The variable-based approach was applied in order to study the structure of the PCL and the relationships between the PCL, the PCL factors and the personality questionnaire scores. The results indicated that the personality scale scores failed to correlate positively with the PCL score, with the exception of the MMPI hypomania score. Cross-Linked Thiazolidine Network as Support for Palladium: A New Catalyst for Suzuki and Heck Reactions

A thiazolidine-based material was used for the first time as support for palladium. The support was prepared by starting from a highly cross-linked thiazolium-based material, obtained by radical oligomerization of a bisvinylthiazolium dibromide salt in the presence of 3-mercaptopropyl-modified silica SBA-15. Palladium was immobilized by treatment with tetrachloropalladate salt. Reduction with sodium borohydride afforded a thiazolidine-based material that acted as ligands for the Pd species. In tumor patients, such as multiple myeloma (MM) patients, an elevated number of NK cells after stem cell transplantation (SCT) has been reported to be correlated with a higher overall survival rate. With the aim of improving NK cell use for adoptive cell therapy, we also addressed the cytotoxicity of patient-derived, cytokine-stimulated NK cells against MM cells at specific time points: at diagnosis and before and after autologous stem cell transplantation.
