Bakalaura darbā ir pētīta Valsts prezidenta heraldikas komisijas tiesiskais regulējums Latvijā un tās tiesību normu īstenošana praksē. Darba mērķis ir vispusīgi raksturot un analizēt Valsts Heraldikas komisijas izveidošanās principus un salīdzināt tiesisko regulējumu tās dibināšanas brīdī un šobrīd. Darbā tiek meklēta atbilde, vai nepieciešams veikt likumdošanas izmaiņas normatīvajos aktos par valsts simbolu (karogs un ģerbonis) pareizu un cieņpilnu lietošanu, analizēti heraldikas pielietošanas dažādie aspekti praksē. Pētījuma rezultātā darba autore apkopo secinājumus par heraldikas ietverošo tiesību normu piemērošanu un izmantošanu Latvijā.
