Aim of this work is to improve the social interactions within a math classrooms (6 th grade), introducing a chess activity during the curricula hours. The theoretical framework upon which this research is based consists of: Vygotsky’s Theory of child developmen t (Vygotsky, 1986), the knowledge objectification theory (Radford, 2006) and theory of configural concepts (a personal review of Fischbein’s theory of figural concepts). We will discuss the results of an experimentation that has the purpose to create an appropriate environment wher e the students develop the abilities to solve and pose problems.

Impact of CMS 5.02 TeV dijet measurements on gluon PDFs - a preliminary view

We discuss the implications of the preliminary CMS dijet data from 5.02 TeV pp and pPb collisions for gluon PDFs of the proton and nuclei. The preliminary pp data show a discrepancy with NLO predictions using for example the CT14 PDFs. We find that this difference cannot be accommodated within the associated scale uncertainties and debate the possible changes needed in the gluon PDF. A similar discrepancy is found between the CMS pPb data and NLO predictions e.g. with the EPPS16 nuclear modifications imposed on the CT14 proton PDFs. We propose two different strategies to find eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a given, not necessarily Hermitian, matrix (Formula presented.). Our methods apply also to the case of complex eigenvalues, making the strategies interesting for applications to physics and to pseudo-Hermitian quantum mechanics in particular. The documents are part o f field chancellery o f the prince, currently preserved in the Military-Historical Museum of Engineer and Signal Corps in St. Petersburg among over a thousand of letters, documents and files illustrating his achievements as commander o f Russian armies in the Caucasus and Poland in 1732-1736. Our panel study on French SMEs, between 2000 and 2018, shows that several factors play a different role in the annuity creation process.
