The crystal structure and magnetic properties of two mononuclear iron(III) Schiff base complexes, [FeL1(NCS)2] (1), HL1 = 2-[1-[[2-[(2-aminoethyl)amino]ethyl]imino]ethyl]phenol and [FeL2(N3)Cl] (2), HL2 = 2-(-1-(2-(2-aminoethylamino)ethylimino)ethyl)-4-methylphenol are reported. Each complex contains a Fe(III) ion surrounded by a N3O Schiff base ligand and two NCS− ligands (in 1) or one N3− and one Cl− ligands (in 2). The magnetic properties can be well reproduced with zero field splittings in the high spin S = 5/2 Fe(III) ions and weak intermolecular Fe–Fe interactions mediated by hydrogen bonds. Abstract A new synthesis of [2.2.2]paracyclophene (1) is presented on reduction,(1) forms a stable dianion which is neither diatropic. nor paratropic. The apparent high symmetry of the dianion and the observed NMR chemical shifts are best explained by a rapid interconversion of a series of C 2-conformers.

This study concentrated on three main questions: 1) can anticipatory late negative shift (expectancy wave, E-wave) be elicited in nonmotor S1-S2 paradigm, 2) is it sensitive to variation of emotional aspects of the task and 3) is there a connection between heart rate (HR) responses and E-wave. S1 was a letter row that was replaced tachistoscopically by another letter row (S2). The task of the subjects (n = 12) was to detect if the critical aspects of S2 were similar to S1. The Men for Equality movement [El movimiento de hombres por la igualdad - HPLI], although a fairly recent phenomenon, already has a forty year track record in Valencia. The movement has had its high and low points. After the trail blazed by protagonists in Valencian society, a period of consolidation followed in which those who came after them kept the movement going. A qualitative study carried out by the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology records the impressions of those men who kept the movement alive between 1975 and 2018 despite the odds at the outset. The gas-phase electronic spectra of 2-(2 0 -hydroxybenzoyl)pyrrole and 2-(2 0 -methoxybenzoyl)pyrrole have been determined using multiconfigurational perturbation theory (CASPT2). Two Remarkably Luminous Galaxy Candidates at z ≈ 10-12 Revealed by JWST

The first few 100 Myr at z > 10 mark the last major uncharted epoch in the history of the universe, where only a single galaxy (GN-z11 at z ≈ 11) is currently spectroscopically confirmed. Here we present a search for luminous z > 10 galaxies with JWST/NIRCam photometry spanning ≈1–5 μm and covering 49 arcmin2 from the public JWST Early Release Science programs (CEERS and GLASS). Our most secure candidates are two MUV ≈ −21 systems: GLASS-z12 and GLASS-z10. These galaxies display abrupt ≳1.8 mag breaks in their spectral energy distributions (SEDs), consistent with complete absorption of flux bluewards of Lyα that is redshifted to =+z12.40.3 0.1and=+z10.40.5 0.4. Abstract The construction of a bacterial mutation assay system detecting reversions of base substitutions and frameshifts in tetracycline (tet) and ampicillin resistance genes located on low copy plasmids is described. Frameshift mutations were introduced into repetitive GC-sequences and G-repeats known to be mutagenic hot-spots. Base pair substitutions were inserted in or around the active site of the ampicillinase gene thus generating reversibility of the ampicilline sensitivity. A hot spot region was identified in the exon 7 of the nuclear autoantigen La (SS-B). Two La cDNAs were identified which contained a frame shift mutation in the hot spot region. One La cDNA was isolated from a cDNA library made from peripheral blood lymphocytes of an autoimmune patient with primary Sjogren's Syndrome, the other La cDNA was isolated from a human liver cDNA library. The patient's La cDNA had a deletion and the liver La cDNA had an insert of an (A)-residue at the same position. Inserts of 4, 16 and 24 more or less homogeneous (A)-residues were found at the same site in the three La retropseudogenes.
