Urheilumenestyksen tarkastelussa painopiste on ollut maittain toteutetussa joukkueiden, seurojen ja yksilöurheilijoiden menestyksen vertailussa. Sen sijaan paikkakuntien urheilumenestystä on tutkimuksissa vertailtu vähemmän. Tutkimuksessa jäljitettiin millaista menestystä varkautelaiset urheilijat saavuttivat 1960-luvulla ja mitkä tekijät vaikuttivat paikalliseen urheilumenestykseen? Varkautelainen urheilumenestys suhteutettiin 11 muuhun vastaavankokoiseen kaupunkiin. Tutkimuksemme sijoittuu historiallis-sosiologisen tapaus- ja rakennetutkimuksen piiriin. In this paper, we test whether the short-run econometric conditions for the basic assumptions of the Ohlson valuation model hold, and then we relate these results with the fulfillment of the short-run econometric conditions for this model to be effective. Better future modeling motivated us to analyze to what extent the assumptions involved in this seminal model are not good enough approximations to solve the firm valuation problem, causing poor model performance. The model is based on the well-known dividend discount model and the residual income valuation model, and it adds a linear information model, which is a time series model by nature. Objectives: The current study dealt with the concept of health literacy in adolescents. The main aim of the study was to examine the structure of adolescents, health literacy. Kohlschütter-Tönz Syndrome: report of an additional case

Kohlschütter-Tönz Syndrome is a rare disorder clinically characterized by amelogenesis imperfecta, epilepsy and progressive mental deterioration. We present an additional case of this syndrome of a nine year-old boy who was referred by pigmented teeth. The mental deterioration was associated with speech delay, impulsive behavior, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and learning problems. The physical examination revealed a reduction of lower third, slightly palpebral fissures, low ear and hair implantation, coarse hair and hypertrichosis. Während der Verlauf und die Ursachen des Geburtenverhaltens intensiv erforscht wurden, sind die finanziellen Folgen einer Geburt empirisch kaum beachtet worden. Daher werden hier kurzfristige Wohlstandsveränderungen von Familien (hinsichtlich verfügbarem Haushaltseinkommen und Äquivalenzeinkommen) rund um die Geburt eines Kindes in längsschnittlicher Perspektive analysiert und auf ihre Ursachen untersucht. Zu diesem Zweck wurden die Daten des Sozio-oekonomischen Panels (1984-2005) mittels Fixed-Effekt-Panelregressionsmodellen analysiert. H.264 QoS and Application Performance with Different Streaming Protocols

Streaming techniques, including the selected streaming protocol, have an effect on the streaming quality. In this study, the performance of three different streaming protocols in a disturbed communication channel is evaluated with a modified version of the FFPlay player. A H.264 encoded video is used as a test sequence. The number of displayed image frames, the frame rate and playout duration are used as objective metrics for QoS. The metrics brings out differences of streaming protocols in our test environment. They are measured at the application level and have a connection to the user experience. peerReviewed
