Schmidt decomposition is a widely employed tool of quantum theory which plays a key role for distinguishable particles in scenarios such as entanglement characterization, theory of measurement and state purification. Yet, it is held not to exist for identical particles, an open problem forbidding its application to analyze such many-body quantum systems. Here we prove, using a newly developed approach, that the Schmidt decomposition exists for identical particles and is thus universal. The synthesis, characterisation and optical properties of new sensing systems made by attaching different polyamine chains functionalised with an indole fluorophore to a boehmite matrix is reported for the first time. Firstly, a family of tri(alkoxy)alkylpolyaminosilanes have been reacted with indole-3-carboxaldehyde to form the corresponding Schiff bases which were reduced with sodium borohydride. In this work, the most discriminating synthesis-related impurities found in samples from seizures and controlled synthesis of the synthetic cannabinoid MDMB-CHMICA (methyl (S)-2-(1-(cyclohexylmethyl)-1H-indole-3-carboxamido)-3,3-dimethylbutanoate) were characterized. Based on 61 available powder samples of MDMB-CHMICA, 15 key-impurities were assessed, isolated in larger quantities via flash chromatography and structurally elucidated and characterized via high resolution mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. An analysis of cardiorespiratory dynamics during mental arithmetic, which induces stress, and sustained attention was conducted using information theory. The information storage and internal information of heart rate variability (HRV) were determined respectively as the self-entropy of the tachogram, and the self-entropy of the tachogram conditioned to the knowledge of respiration. The information transfer and cross information from respiration to HRV were assessed as the transfer and cross-entropy, both measures of cardiorespiratory coupling. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvittää, miten kansainväliset opiskelijat kuvaavat sopeutumistaan Indonesiaan. Sopeutumista tarkastellaan erityisesti niiden ihmissuhteiden valossa, joita opiskelijat loivat Indonesiassa. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on lisäksi selvittää opiskelijoiden näkemyksiä siitä, miten kulttuuriset viestintätyylien erot sekä Englanti lingua franca -kielenä vaikuttivat ihmissuhteiden kehittymiseen. Tutkimusote on laadullinen. Tutkimukseen osallistujat valittiin yhdistämällä lumipalloja mukavuusotantatapoja.
