Wizja religii cesarstwa rzymskiego według Tertuliana na podstawie "Apologetyka"

2019

Luminescence of F2 and F3 + centres in LiF crystals irradiated with 12 MeV 12C ions

2018

Dependences of the nanohardness and photoluminescence of F 2 and F 3 + centers on the depth in LiF crystals irradiated with 12 MeV 12 C ions to fluences 10 10 -10 15 ions/cm 2 were studied using laser scanning confocal microscopy, luminescent spectroscopy, and the nanoindentation method. The nanohardness measurements showed a significant hardening effect at the end of the ion run with the dominant contribution of defects formed by the mechanism of elastic collisions. The observed attenuation of the luminescence intensity at high fluences is associated with the intense nucleation of dislocations as traps for aggregate color centers.

Carbonyl compounds of Tc, Re, and Bh: Electronic structure, bonding, and volatility.

2018

Calculations of molecular properties of M(CO)5 and MH(CO)5, where M = Tc, Re, and Bh, and of the products of their decomposition, M(CO)4 and MH(CO)4, were performed using density functional theory and coupled-cluster methods implemented in the relativistic program suits such as ADF, DIRAC, and ReSpect. The calculated first M—CO bond dissociation energies (FBDEs) of Bh(CO)5 and BhH(CO)5 turned out to be significantly weaker than those of the corresponding Re homologs. The reason for that is the relativistic destabilization and expansion of the 6d AOs, responsible for weaker σ-forth and π-back donations in the Bh compounds. The relativistic FBDEs of M(CO)5 have, therefore, a Λ-shape behavior …

Mapping Vegetation Density in a Heterogeneous River Floodplain Ecosystem Using Pointable CHRIS/PROBA Data

2012

River floodplains in the Netherlands serve as water storage areas, while they also have the function of nature rehabilitation areas. Floodplain vegetation is therefore subject to natural processes of vegetation succession. At the same time, vegetation encroachment obstructs the water flow into the floodplains and increases the flood risk for the hinterland. Spaceborne pointable imaging spectroscopy has the potential to quantify vegetation density on the basis of leaf area index (LAI) from a desired view zenith angle. In this respect, hyperspectral pointable CHRIS data were linked to the ray tracing canopy reflectance model FLIGHT to retrieve vegetation density estimates over a heterogeneous…

Effects of climate change and land use intensification on regional biological soil crust cover and composition in southern Africa

2022

Biological soil crusts (biocrusts) form a regular and relevant feature in drylands, as they stabilize the soil, fix nutrients, and influence water cycling. However, biocrust forming organisms have been shown to be dramatically vulnerable to climate and land use change occurring in these regions. In this study, we used Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) data of biocrust-dominated pixels (NDVIbiocrust) obtained from hyperspectral and LANDSAT-7 data to analyse biocrust development over time and to forecast future NDVIbiocrust development under different climate change and livestock density scenarios in southern Africa. We validated these results by analysing the occurrence and compo…

Aqua Mater: On the Meaning of the Theonym Betatun

2021

The finding of an inscription containing the Iberian theonym Betatun in the surrounding area of the Late Iberian sanctuary in Las Atalayuelas site (Fuerte del Rey – Torredelcampo, Jaén) opens up new perspectives for the st…
