Der Dialog muss weitergehen. Christentum und Islam in den Pontifiaten von Johannes Paul II., Benedikt XVI. und Franziskus
2020
The aim of the article is the critical presentation of the vision of the dialogue between Christianity and Islam in the pontifiates of John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis. The pontifiate of John Paul II constitutes a quantum leap forward as far as both the practice of dialogue of the Catholic Church with Islam and systematic reflction on its signifiance and theological fundamentals are concerned. The Pope emphasized the signifiance of the common religious and cultural heritage of Christians and Muslims. Both worship the same God and have the common ancestor in faith, namely Abraham. The ties of brotherhood that join them are an obligation for mutual respect as well as shaping peaceful r…
Introducing Teenagers to a Dialogue with Judaism as the Task of School Catechesis
2014
This analysis proves that introducing teenagers to a dialogue with Judaism is one of catechesis’s tasks. This task has been outlined in the post-conciliar documents of the Catholic Church. It underlines the spiritual ties between Catholic people and the Jews and promotes forming an attitude of openness towards followers of the Mosaic religion. It also contributes to mitigating anti-Semitism among Catholic teenagers. At the same time, it raises interest in Jewish traditions and culture. In the religion syllabus in lower and post-secondary schools we can come across numerous references (mainly indirect) to Judaism. The focus on passing honest knowledge about Judaism can be also clearly visibl…
Optical properties of Sicilian lakes during a Cyanophycea Planktothrix rubescens algal bloom
2009
In December 2006 blooms of Planktothrix rubescens were found in the reservoir Prizzi in Sicily. Planktothrix is a genus of filamentous alga comprising approximately 6 species, between these the P. rubescens is sadly famous since this organism produces microcystins which are powerful hepatotoxins. Firstly found in Europe in 1825 on Geneva lake, recently (2006) those algae has been find out in Pozzillo, Nicoletti e Ancipa reservoirs (Enna Province), as well as in Prizzi (Palermo Province) and Garcia reservoirs (Trapani Province). Toxins produced by those bacteria (usually called microcystine LR-1 and LR-2) are highly toxic since they can activate oncogenes cells causing cancer pathologies on …
2012
Author's version of an article in the journal: Teologisk Tidsskrift. Also available from the publisher at: http://www.idunn.no/ts/tt/2012/01/art06 The article consists of two parts: Part one seeks to demonstrate (contra Bauckham) that Jewish monotheism in the Second Temple period was of a flexible character. It argues that Jewish writers in this period could attribute «divine functions» to figures beside God, while still feeling committed to «one God». The Jewish monotheism of this period was therefore not constituted by functions or characteristics, but rather by the exclusive worship of the one God. Part two argues that Paul describes Jesus with a high position beside God, while still fee…
Zalecenia i zachęty do życia doskonałego w korespondencji Grzegorza z Nazjanzu
2017
The text of the article is an analysis of Gregory of Nazianzus’ comments on Christian perfection. They were selected from his letters written in his family regions after returning from Constantinople, where he occupied for two years the position in the episcopal capital. It was a period of almost ten years of his life, until his death in 390, in which he contacted many people mainly through letters, because weak health prevented him from traveling frequently. The analysis of the letters showed that the threads containing recommendations, warnings, cautions, and encouragements were numerous in them. They have been divided in three categories of addresses, i.e. clergy and monks, lay people an…
Antropologiczny aspekt modlitwy chrześcijańskiej
2020
Można rozpatrywać modlitwę z Bożej i ludzkiej perspektywy.

Ekumeniczne wyzwania w realizacji ewangelizacyjnej misji Kościoła
2020
The main request of the Church is to ensure the effective and reliable proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. The ecumenical mouvement has been setting the same target emphasizing that the evangelistic mission of the Church should be based on the common witness of Christians, pointing at their unity in faith and corporating mission statment of the saving message to the world. It is about the actualization of the Christ‘s messianic mission through the Church. The Second Vatican Council, in the Decree Ad Gentes, understands the evangelization in the wide context as “such activity by which the Church, obedient to Christ‘s command, moved by the grace and love of the Holy Spiri…
«SENS E RAZOS D’UNA ESCRIPTURA». IL VANGELO OCCITANO DI NICODEMO
2018
The Hungarian Case: From Natio to the Ersatz Nation-State
2009
The Kingdom of Hungary had been part of the Habsburg realms since 1526 when the Sultan Suleyman I the Magnificent (ruled 1520–1566) defeated the Hungarian armies at Mohacs. The King of Hungary and Bohemia, Louis II (ruled 1516–1526), died in the battle. Due to the dynastic agreement between the Jagiellonians and the Habsburgs, the latter were to take over Hungary and the Czech lands should the former fail to produce male heirs. In the other case, the Jagiellonians could hope for the imperial throne in Vienna. Meanwhile, the Ottoman Empire seized most of Hungary proper, including Buda (1541), the seat of Hungarian Kings. Foreseeing this outcome, the Habsburgs had already moved the capital o…
