The present essay aims at clarifying the main aspects of this ongoing debate, along the following lines: firstly, an historical account of the problem of balancing conflicting rights will be given, with an eye both to the American recent experience and to the Italian one. Secondly, it will be discussed whether and under what circumstances rights can conflict. Introduction: Overweight people are often able to lose weight with the help of professionals, but majority (about 85 %) of the weight losers fail to maintain behavioral changes that would lead to favorable results in the long term [1‐3]. PURPOSE/INTRODUCTION: To assess the usefulness of weight-bearing examination of the ankle performed with a dedicated MRI scanner in the evaluation of patients with clinical evidence of lateral ankle instability. Relazioni tra parametri biometrici in Marthasterias glacialis (L.) (Asteroidea)

Biometric parameters of the Asteroid echinoderm Marthasterias glacialis (L.) were measured at Ustica Island MPA (SW Tyrrhenian Sea). Wet weight was correlated with tip-to-tip (arm-span) diameter, central disk, arm length, arm width and arm height. Results show high positive correlation between weight and arm height, suggesting a new useful method to estimate starfish size also for in situ measurements.
