An insecure attachment history puts foster children at risk for many kinds of difficulties, which may include psychopathology. Nurture and Play (NaP) for foster families–intervention for children aged one to five years of age aims to help the new attachment relationship between foster parents and their young children develop in a secure direction. Young women’s contradictory expectations and their perceived capabilities for future work-family reconciliation in Finland

This paper explores young women’s expectations on future work-family reconciliation in Finland, a Nordic country well-known for the promotion of gender equality. Utilising Sen’s capabilities approach, we content-analysed thirty individual interviews to identify differences in women’s expectations and their perceived capabilities in future work and care. The results showed that irrespective of their labour market status and educational attainment, the women’s expectations were contradictory, reflecting a current Finnish gender culture that embraces both the ideal of shared parenthood and the primacy of maternal care. This study examines the meanings and prerequisites of self-organised physical activity from young people’s perspective. The theoretical framework is social space, which enables young people’s experiences to be interpreted in parallel with their physical, social, and cultural environment. Three research questions are addressed: (1) Where does young people’s self-organised physical activity take place? (2) What are the forms of the activity? Yrittäjyystutkimuksessa biologinen perimä, yrittäjäksi syntyminen, on siirtynyt taustalle. Painopistettä on suunnattu kasvatukselliseen pohdintaan. Se on tuottanut tutkimusta pääasiassa yrittäjyyden tieteenalalla. Pääpaino on ollut toisaalta aikuisväestön, jo ammatissa toimivien tai työttömien kouluttamisessa yrittäjiksi, toisaalta yrittäjyyden kytkemisessä ammatillisen ja korkean asteen koulutukseen. Yrittäjyyden pedagogisten perusteiden pohdinta on sen sijaan vasta lähtemässä liikkeelle.

Tiimi&Työnantaja -monitieteinen työelämäprojekti työelämäosaamisen kehittämisalustana

Opiskelijan korkea-asteen opintojen aikana toteuttama työelämän kanssa tiiviissä yhteistyössä tehty projekti auttaa opiskelijaa integroimaan oman tieteenalansa kautta syntyvää substanssiosaamista työelämän vaatimuksiin.
